So....how long did it take you guys to realize this entire song (and a lot of the rest) is sung entirely in Solfège. The first time I heard it I realized 17 min in...You can hear all kinds of crazy shit in it though! <3 ...Rightfully maddening :)
@GamerX7800X check out Act III from The Photographer; Dance No. 1, 3, & 5 from Dance -- especially Dance No. 3; Serra Pelada from Powaqqatsi; Girlfriend from 1000 Airplanes on the Roof; Part 12 from Music in 12 Parts (90s or 70s editions); Floe and Rubric from Glassworks;
I like both recordings. The 1979 Sony Classical recording's on 4 CDs, but the 1993 Nonesuch/Elektra recording's on 3 CDs even though it's longer. The former, originally released on vinyl, had to be shortened for that format. I like the SOUND of the older recording more, but the newer one's cheaper and a completely uncut performance. Peace.
@CrackSnortingSailor This is the 1993 recording on nonesuch/Elektra. It's the longer recording, but the 1979 recording on Sony Classical SOUNDS better. Peace.
wow.. i cleaned my house AND mailed a letter today. this is good shit

@BogMyster Do you not realize how musically retarded that guy is and how much therapy he needs to fix it? He didn't even spell 'glass' properly.

The newer one is more "perfect" and unabridged, but IMO sounds cold and over-perfect compared to the "fresher" old recording.

Which recording of Einstein On The Beach is this?
I've heard a different recording which wasn't as good.
I want to buy the opera on cd but I want to be sure I got the better recording.
