  • Jolly good!!! I was an instructor at Southend and had an engine failure after take off at Stapleford after Thurston Aviation conducted a 100hrly on PA28 G-AVLG. The tube between the carb. cold air filtre and the carb. collapsed. It was a 'hot' day but had I pulled the carb. hot air knob I probably could have climbed away. Ho hum.
