S.O.A.R.usually practice their water insertions/excertions at Ft. Benning, Ft Bragg, and Ft. Campbell. But I'm sure the individual unita around the country do their own thing. I served a month with these guys in Afganistan and let me tall you...the guys are some of the very pest Blackhawk and Chinook pilots I have ever seen. Nice Vid!
I live here in Savannah Georgia and Hunter Army Airfield is less than a mile away. It's cool to hear them up on a moon lit night and you only see the strobe's on one but then you can make out the dark shape following it, staying current on IFR flight's. Hard to find a video on youtube though of these thing's doing water landing's. Anyone know where to find them?
