  • just got one of these but its a 2000. where did you get the blue led bulbs?

  • Sweet, same bike I have. But man, those bar ends...I replaced mine with 1 inch chrome. The stock ends were so damn long and ugly. Love the tailbag, though. I need to get one; sick of the backpack lol

  • thats exactly what i was looking for my fz6 where did you get them

  • i just got one of these bikes this past week they are so nice.

  • What kind of rear seat bag is that?

  • I just bought a slightly used 2011 Suzuki gs500f for $3500 with 1,500miles on it. It's my first bike but I want to get some mods on it. Any suggestions? Thanks

  • Hi I also have an 07 GS500F. I wanted to do a slip on and K&N lunchbox. Do you remember what size jets you put? I had red the following for a slip on and lunchbox:

    pilot jets #22.5

    mid-main jets #65

    main jets #147.5

    3 #3 washers (on needle)

    2.5 turns out (pilot)

  • going on 3 years with my gs500! was only planning on a year or two but its been good enough for me.. cant wait to upgrade tho, keep riding stay safe

  • Had mine for nearly two years. Great easy bike to ride! Compared to the 250 I had before. But the finish on parts is not the best and has perished alot, even with minotinous care! Still love it.

  • Im thinking aboutbuying one of these a dealer offered 3650$ out the door ( taxes etc inlcuded ) the bike has around 4500 miles is this a god deal? Also is there anything i need to look out for when buying this bike used? thanks

  • Hi i got a 2007 Suzuki Gs500. and i found the Zero Gravity Double Bubble windscreen but it doesnt have 1 for my size bike, any suggestions where i can get one for my bike?

  • Hey bud! I just bought an '08 GS500F for the exact same reasons! Mostly working on bikes since I've ridden my cbr125r for a year now. I want to be able to dismantle the bike fully and put it back together. Great learning experience =D

BTW, where'd you get the wind shield? I couldn't find anything!

  • Can you PLEASE! show me how to get the accessory outlet on there?

  • This was my first bike too, a 2007 in blue. I bought mine yesterday though lol!

  • Where did you get the BLUE GAUGE LIGHTS from?

  • NICE BIKE MAN!! I just picked up a 2006 and i've already got it in the garage and I'm tearing it down to build back up. I did a fender-rectomy also but more so then you. I chopped almost all of it off and plan on using TINY turn signals that are barely noticed or an integrated one I found online ($95). Where did you get your double bubble from??? I NEED IT! also imma change the handle bars and foot pegs too and add RIM stripes (like $8 off ebay)

  • sweet bike , nice starter

  • where did u buy the fork springs

  • Very nice bike....one question for ya. What size tires do you have on the front and rear?

  • I just purchased a GS500F also and would like o know how you wired your 12v adaptor plug.

  • @theninjakid10 i also second dat .. how u do dat i want gps too.. need to kno were im goin with out gettin lost

  • The gps handlebar an window shield an exhaust was a great idea...

  • Nice bike I have a question though...I'm like 6'1 260lbs I was looking at a Kawasaki ninja 250 but i don't think that will work out well you think this bike can handle my size? I am a beginner so I'm a bit freaked out about learning on a 600cc bike though those could handle my size.what upgrades did you make if any and around how much(shocks stuff like that since I saw a comment on an older bid saying u are 230lbs)

  • guys i just got my bike license and i haven't bought a bike yet and a friend of mine is recommending this bike to learn with, so is it the rite bike to start with??!!!

  • hi just wondering if you could change this carrbi to fuel injected?

and the cost of that, and would it go much better?

  • nice bike I think I may have to get one but one question i weigh 240 do you think it will do highway speeds at my weight?

  • @newtechfan You'll be fine. I'm not a small guy either (around 230lbs) and as you can see in the videos, the bike still flies. One thing I highly recommend is changing the front sprocket from 16teeth to 15 like I have on mine. It makes the revs higher for any given speed which means you'll be in the power band longer.

On that note, I did sell this bike this past weekend. I have plans to upgrade but needed to funds right now to purchase a hardtop for my s2000.

  • Love the thing. The thing about gs's...they're pretty much an imation gixxer. Anyone who knows a thing or two about bikes can tell they aren't, but everybody else can't tell the difference, lol.

  • Hey steguis, I would love to know how you installed your 12v power adapter. I've been wanting to install it so i can put a gps as well.

  • how much would a used 07 or 08 cost?

  • sounds like thumper

  • I am extremely interested in the suburban machinery handlebars. Please tell me if you are happy with it and the more aggressive riding position. I would love your knowledge on the subject. Thanks.

  • hi. I've got this bike and would like to put the yoshimura exhaust on it.... Did you rejet because the exhaust called for it, or you just wanted to rejet? Could I just install the pipe without rejetting?

  • where did you get the handle bars from ?

  • Nice bike. Keep up on the mods....get on a forum it helps alot! You can fix the speedometer with a Speedohealer. Almost all bikes are around 10% off. If you don't fix it, its a good idea to see what it reads when your really going 40, 55, and 70. Anything under 40, your only talking about being off 3mph or so.

  • Wish I was as technically minded as you, and had enough money to do all those nice things to mine. Looks great bro.

One suggestion which you may have done by now, but I'd replace the footpegs to sportier ones as the big rubber stock ones look a bit crap.

  • Hehe...I actually did replace the footpegs about a week after I did this video.

  • Hey hey. Awsome video! I love this bike and it has a pretty cool sound!

  • I just bought a 2007 suzuki GS500f it now has 7500 miles on it now. I noticed when i took it out on the highway the speedometer is reading higher than it should. Today i had a friend from my class drive her car in front of mine to at 70mph. I was behind her and my speedometer says 80mph. What should i do? should i get a new speedometer and see if that helps?

  • That's normal. The GS500F speedo reads about 10% higher your actual speed. All GS500s do that.

  • alright thanks man. Is there a way that i can fix it? Or should i ignore it and just go 10 over on the speedometer to determine the speed that i am going. How much of a speed difference is it for your bike?

  • Just ignore it, it's not a big deal. The only way you could fix it is by changing the front wheel diameter since the speedo is keyed off your front wheel but def not worth it.

  • you would say so iroq lol jk

  • hi. Can you make a video of the underseat storage? I can't find pictures of videos anywhere. I would appreciate it.

  • never mind, I kind of found what I was looking for

    watch?v=ygpgEGgEJLY

  • mmm beautiful bike ;-)
