lol we read this play for 4th perioid I Was Titania(I LOVE FAIRIES!) /mwuahahahaha "Me thinks i was enamored of and Ass" HA! finally 7th grade wasn't boring
my school is doing this play next month and I play Flute- its also my first play. I dont know about everyone else's criticism, I thought it was funny. But then again am not much into acting or drama- so i wouldn't know. But I did think your Flute was badass.
We're doing this play in four days time... I play Titania & Hippolyta, and my best friend is playing Flute and she hates it...! Ours is set in an art gallery, interestingly... The rude mechanicals are the cleaners :)
Hi - please check out the side bar for more information about this video. As for "all Shakespeare's cast were male" - yes, well done. Today's aren't! Happy day!
Likewise, for everyone, please take this production at its own values - the actors were young, learning. Rather than "hate" why not see what one can learn from their own process of learning? Civility is always a wonderful thing.
yeah when you say 'according to shakespeare' it was actually according to the law that disallowed women to appear on stage until the restoration in 1661. But I agree that this performance was terrible, and gaudete i don't 'hate' anyone I'm just criticising, and the age of the performers is absolutely no excuse
Well that's true. What I meant is that in Shakespeare times situation was like this.
Our performance was much better. Maybe we did not have such "awesome" costumes, but ours were much funnier (wall had pink "walls", lion had too small costume and our Pyramus stabbed himself with fork and then knife). It was the funniest performance in the whole competition.
I did not say I HATE. I said taht your's "dream" was rather bad. Despite your age, many things could have been done better.
We're doing this in April with the play set in the 1980s. I'm down for Snout/Wall. I keep finding myself slipping into an English accent. My costume is supposed to be like John Cusack's in Say Anything.
i was in a production of this. i was the fairy queen and my boyfriend at the time was thisbe. it was sooo funny because he's 6' 4" and the lion chased him running down the aisle. it also made front page of the paper!
actually when i did it somebody had todo my thisbe make up and my lip stick was all around my mouth like barely on my lips so everyone laughed when i said "my cherry lips"
I'm usually a little dubious about Shakespeare with American accents, however, this by far the best Pyramus and Thisbe I've seen! Better than the 2 RSC productions I have watched! Well done guys, thoroughly enjoyable entertainment!
Understandable, though I've always found it nearly impossible to speak Shakespearian dialouge AND fake the English accent... probably end it butchering it anyway.
Doing this tommorow for school this is funny

For an English project we have to find 5 songs that fit into MSND at certain points. Any suggestions?

I did that same play, and I was Flute. All I have to say is that my play was much better.

We're having same play the day after tomorrow.
However Pyramus in yours performance really sucks. He speaks too fast. All actors should be male, according to Shakespeare

Nick Bottom is supposed to be a bad actor.
BritishBrummie 3 years ago
@3v11
Bottom is meant to be a shit actor.
plus it don't HAVE to be all male...
except Thisbe, cos otherwise it sucks if Thisbe's played by a girl...

Thisbe is played bny a friend of mine in our production, and every time 'she' speaks, I about pee my pants. Shakespeare truly was a master!
Hope you get the second part where they both die up soon! Good job to all the actors.

Eventually (whenever YouTube works with me!) I'll get up the second part of it. We de-wussified Thisbe! :)
