ok. im a huge manowar fan. but even i will admit this picture is pretty gay.

But to put it in perspective, in the 80's and early 90's, really gay shit was seen as badass. Bright neon fashion. Saved by the bell. Men dressed as women. Flock of Seagulls.( Not dissing, but watch the I Ran video. FUCKED UP!) That being said, Manowar makes badass music and that's what matters. This picture isn't shit now.

But times are different now and I won't hold it against the people that experienced the pop culture of the time. The pic is a photo assemblage. That the reason why Dave and Scott appear to be together. I think that WarlordPDF is right as he states that the photo refers to "the Kings of Metal tour (1989) with Dave and Scott", but maybe they were in a hurry and had no time to take a proper pic. Anyway, there is no Donnie Hamzik in this photo.

This medley is amazing...It is a pity that Eric makes a mistake in the Queen cover...but his voice is always moving and impressive, anyway:-)

A lot of people have expressed confusion over the years as to just what Manowar meant by "True Metal". This medley shows that they were refering to the roots of metal, and it's continuing development as a "tradition".

The picture is interesting aswell. Here in the UK, the press are obsessed with mocking Manowar's loincloth phase, even after all this time (part of the reason for Manowar's current bad relations with England). Strangely the greater fashion crimes of the late 80s are overlooked.
