once i reinsert the bolt carrier and line up the piston and gas heads, I pull the shell deflector back and the rod comes back with it. the rod won't stay in place for me. Somebody please clue me in.
Good Video took me a few goes at it to get it down. The New SU-16ca comes with a dustcover which took a bit jacking with to come off. Putting the spring rod back in has to be totally flush with the back end of the rifle for it to slide correctly.
@fredjustsucks that seemed pretty damn simple to me... if you minus the child... then again i use to take apart locks and put them back together for fun>.>
I have the su 16 b. Its is a very easy gun to take apart guys. I took it apart without the video and it works fine. after one or two times it gets so easy. I would highly recommed this gun
Thank you for this. This rifle looks like it is a nightmare to disassemble and (especially) to reassemble. I could not decide whether to buy one. This video has helped me decide. I will not.
@Captsaison No problem at all. Glad it helped you in your decision. Have you tried to D&A a Ruger MKII/III? If you havent, this rifle compared to the Ruger is like changine oil while the Ruger is like doing a engine overhaul. lol.
@mifslim You are absolutely correct. The Ruger MKII/III es muy dificil! I have watched your video three times now. I think I can handle it. Perhaps I will buy a SU-16B model just to play with? Buena suerte a usted y su familia
There's always a bit of a struggle aligning the bolt assembly, isn't it? Charlie makes even more annoying by adding the dust cover. Another thing - I always have trouble inserting the lock pin that goes across the firing pin, because the rubber ring on it gets chewed up.
@zaitcev If your getting some kind of resistance then that means your putting it in mis-aligned. Everything should fit in smoothly. Just check again before pushing it in so you dont mess anything up. But yes, it can get annoying if its not aligned.
Thanks for the video, made changing out the extractor painless!

Great Video! Very informative. Can I ask where you got the silver stock pin with the ring?

It looks like cleaning an SU is a lot like changing a diaper, a dirty, smelly pain in the butt that gets a little easier each time you do it.

The simplicity of a weapon is proportional to the intelligence of it's manufacturer. Sorry Kel Tec.

Well ya. You know what ease of cleaning isn't a big deal. I can learn how

@fredjustsucks the more simple the weapon the smarter the manufacturer is...>.>

This video is really helpful. I was wondering if u could tell us where u would lubricate the rifle. Thank you
erne2813 1 year ago
Thats a good idea. I will make another video with no interuption and go into more detail on how and where to lube the parts. Thanks
