Damn you guys over in the UK have it good with the cop shows, but we North Americans have to deal with ridiculous shows like Law & Order who try to build up tension and suspense which never really works, but since the bill is a whole story and not just a differant case every episode it keeps you hooked. Hope they release an entire DVD collection.
@TheRealRoutemaster There's absolutely no point in the title WPC, all it does is emphasize on the fact that the police officer is a female, however male PC's weren't called MPC's were they? I'm glad they did away with 'WPC' and now all police constables are called PC.
I'm not a fan of political correctness myself, but in this circumstance, it's neccesary. However I will still call a male police officer a policeman, and a female one a police woman. Just not a 'WPC'.

I've been on the rough end of the police myself, although it was for my own safety, but those 3 police officers saved my life (I was suicidal) and got me help. For that I'm thankful for.
I've not yet seen the new opening to The Bill as I work until 9pm. I'll see it tonight for the 1st time, have to say tho I'm not impressed with the ending theme so shouldn't think the start is much better. Bring back the old tunes
i heard th new verson of theme to the Bill and not inpressed who composed should get nicked for it has anyone eles heard how ever i like title shot of the police car the theme arangemant used in 1984-85 was the best, 1986-97 great 1998-2001 not bad 2002-006 good 2007-009 fantastic but as for the latest verson yuk
well i managed to loop the part in the middle, the part with the sirens and the modulation half way through, 4 minutes of it now! you can have it if you want
