@bestamerica Red is the standard for rear facing lights, amber would confuse people behind you which is where these signals are aimed.

@bestamerica I don't disagree that amber has more contrast than red and probably should be a standard, but you have to look at DOT laws about adding additional lights. Example, how many more cars in the US have common bulb tail light setups?? TONS. Then look how signal mirrors are designed- how many of them have amber built into the glass- not many, they're mostly red unless they're facing the front. There's a reason you don't see amber on anything but the sides of trailers either.

red is also TURN or EMERGENCY when it is blinking.

Guess Americans are smarter drivers, cause we can understand that easily, AND understand that amber is for turning too.

We are even so smart that we can understand that flashing WHITE or BLUE means turn signal, thanks to all the ricers with clears or funky colored bulbs.

Most OEM 'in mirror' turn signals are going to be red, because red LEAST affects night vision. I know the OE repeaters are on one of my vehicles.

@attackeagle the only OE ones i have seen use amber, would be because it is NOT in the mirror, rather it is UNDER the mirror where it is shielded from the driver's line of sight.

i found them in the u.s however. the install was tricky but they look mint after install. great upgrade
