  • thanks for the link to PBS doc on credit cards. very good doc. many more Americans should watch it they'd be shocked how we r being exploited by CC companies.

  • You tell me stuff i did not know.

  • I'm glad I was able to help. Thanks for the comment!

  • Thanks Matt! I actually got a letter last year for one card that the corporation was deeply concerned that I was paying off my card too quickly. They acted like I was out of my mind. HA!

  • Isn't that the craziest thing? Thanks, Darl!

  • I'm in the process of disputing several credit card charges that I never made. I'm feeling extremely vulnerable. I should have taken my Dad's advice, "pay cash for everything and save your receipts". Hindsight is 20/20. GRRRR

  • I hope that you get the matter cleaned up. Thanks for commenting, Dorothy!

  • The banks in the UK are currently under investigation for ripping their customers off, especially with regards unfair charges. Personally, I hate credit cards. Good vlog Matt!!

  • Thank you, Norman. Unfortunately, credit cards are a necessary evil in business. Were I still working the jobs I had before I owned my own business, I doubt I would have one, or I would only have one small one for limited use.

  • Thank you, Jeremy!

  • Gah, I don't think my last comment posted, but anyways, I was watching a program about the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, and then following that the program you were talking about came on.

The name of the other program I was talking about is Open Outcry. (Search "Open Outcry PBS" on Google for the link)

Both were great to watch :)

  • There are some interesting programs on PBS. Thanks, James!

  • Yup - internet is great for satisfying transient curiosity!

I make it a point to pay off the whole sum on the card every month. The interest is way to high to pay! Mind you, it has happened I have let some go to the next month - but then when I see how much that cost me, I pay it all off!

Thanks for putting this in the spotlight. Credit cards are nasty stuff. Better to get a debit card.

  • True, Mari! Thanks for your comment! I appreciate it!

  • Intetesting. Don't let the year slip up, which got some notice contrary to your point, bother you. Hmmm...maybe we should all purposely mess up, when doing our videos. Perhaps, we would get more people to listen to us. But, as for eliot...never heard of em.

  • Yeah, it does seem that my mistake with the year in my intro is overshadowing what the video was supposed to be about. Which is a shame, as I feel it was an important subject. Ah well. Thanks, David!

  • Hey it is 2008 isn't it?

When we use our cards we pay it off each month.

On my way to watch the videos.

    HUGGS

  • Thank you, Lana! :-)

  • LOL! Yep, I screwed up. Oops!

  • January 13th 2007!? Matt, I don't wanna live last year again! *smiles*

    Love ya. xx

  • Whoops! I'm still adjusting to the change of years. Can you tell? ;-)

    -- Matt

  • I know the feeling. I keep on writing 2007 on letters. DUH!

  • It's even scarier that I didn't even notice you said the wrong year. The adjustment takes me at least three months :O)

  • I though I was doing good, too. I have been signing my checks correctly so far. Oh well.

    Thanks!

    -- Matt

  • Sometimes I even start the year with 'nineteen' I think my problem may be Alzheimer's Disease. :O)

  • Didn't you mean 2008? (You said 2007. lol)

    Good video.

  • Thanks! Yep, I goofed on the year! Eek!

  • I also sent my last comment before typing the other "t" in my name. :-)

  • Here is another video you might be interested in that has to deal with money.

Aaron Russo - America Freedom to Fascism

It's talks about the IRS and is definitely a big eye opener.

  • Just blame your keyboard Matt ;)

  • That's the perfect excuse! I shall do that! Thanks, Iggy!

  • Great! Thanks for posting this.

  • Thank you for watching!

  • Nice vid Matt, you should do more like these.

My Wife and I have been using all cash for the last year now and it feels great. More people should try it.

If we do use a credit card it's a sharecheck card for our bank account.

  • I wish I could use all cash, but many things in my business require credit card usage. Ugh. Thanks for the comment!

  • another awesome video :) great matt

  • Thank you, Adam!
