Forgot about "popcorn" he is a legend in Detroit, I remember him as a youngster. Now to top it off,how about "Johnny Mae Matthews"? Anyone remember her? She could sing and I remember her starting her own label also--thanks for this-- 5 stars!
Hi, I'm Søren from Denmark. I hope that people who like this music will join up to receive "Reaching For The Best - The IAN LEVINE Newsletter". I'm doing a regular e-mail newsletter for people who are fans of Ian Levine's music, just like myself. If you too are a genuine fan of his productions, and you love seeing these videos, then send me a message with your e-mail address and I'll add you to the list. It's all free, it's with Ian's full co-operation, so please join in!
this doesnt half take me back... highland room and a lad "evvy" ??? from bolton, who did his own dance to this goin from one side of the floor to the other.... keep the faith.
This is fabulous Ian. I'd read about the Motorcity Project, but never actually seen any footage from it. The lyrics on my copy are completely indecipherable -- possibly because it's a Simon Sousaint pressing or something.
RIP Popcorn

I tried to film her for The Strange World Of Northern Soul, but she changed her mind, then died soon after that.
