Good job. Or as Letterman says, "nice job". Although, yes, the conjunction. Why do they post the age so promenentely? I jammed hard at 14, better than now. I also was full grown shaving every day then. No disrespect to his playing. Keep on!
It's hard to put your feeling into anything when you're following a track or metronome & looking at the notes... & being a kid! He's learning!!! There's plenty of time for him to perfect twiddling sticks & doing Terry Bozzio style pouts to the camera...
wow, I don't know how he keeps up the timing and co-ordination... I can't do that! I think he'll play with more feeling once he stops playing this by rote.
dude your an amazing player for your age and all but you lack your own style and it really doesn't look like you are putting any feeling into it your just playing whats there you have a great talent but if you dont start putting passion into your playing your not going anywhere and im not trying to be an asshole or anything i just think you could have some great shit going for you if you just had more passion about it and yes he is prob left handed the set prob wusnt set up lefty style
My teacher Elliot Fine had me reading Jimmy Cobb, Krupa, Blakey, Buddy stuff at similar age. This excellent young musician is on the best road of discovery a drummer could have. A teacher of such quality and open mindedness, is truely a gift. I want him to sub for me when I can't do the gig. It's realy an accomplishment to be reading something this involved and make it musical. Well done!
Cheers and much respect to you both. P.S. I saw Bonham about 8 times and you pretty much got it!!!!
Elliot along with Marv Dahlgren, wrote 4-Way Coordination. I first thought he was cruel having me read that stuff when I was thirteen. Yet at this point, I can't thank him enough. I still take a lesson or two from him every year. The things he's workin' on now make my head spin.
Technically brilliant, with just a couple tiny flubs throughout the entire 8.5 minutes. A young man like your student, Mr. Frazee, who can mimic the timing John Bonham is destined for success. If he develops the power as well, then he's destined for greatness.
The great skill required to teach this to others is rare. I am greatly impressed and congratulate both teacher and student.
when i first saw this i was so blown away!!! keep up the GREAT WORK...

nice dude i might video myself play a song like that lol. why is your following hand your left?
zacowako5 4 years ago
I don't know people ask me that all the time, it's just the hand that went there naturally when I started and the hand that i most comfortable there.
sman3424 4 years ago
He's pretty good, he should use his right hand to hit the crash also, instead of just his left.
venomthrash13 4 years ago
yeah I know I have been working on that just on my set (where I mostly play) I only have a crash on the left so it's hard to use my right
sman3424 4 years ago
Sweet!! Love the left handed hi hat work! Makes me proud! I didn't play that well til I was 18! With lots of hard work and practice!

Thank you for your kind words. Was your teacher, Elliot Fine, the same one that wrote "4 Way Coordination"?
