i just finished watching the 1.11 movie, i loved it, but now im confused, i am aware that i have missed a few previous instalments, and i just want to know, what is the beginning of evangelions?

@SandSReviews That question requires a very complicated answer; one that you aren't going to get without lots of spoiler tags; what the Evas are and how they came to be are a major plot point for the series. The origin of the Evangelions will be revealed before the "Rebuild" series ends.

@NejiII1 FUNimation will release the offical eng dub on DVD/Blu-ray on March 29th, but i think that in some select cities (in USA and Canada) will show in it theaters (and in eng dub of course!)

@Skoenner There is some evidence pointing to that. I personally believe its a continuation of the series. At the end of 1.0 and threw out 2.0 you can see what seems to be a long line of blood on the moon's surface. In End of Evangelion the Lilith/Rei hybrid's neck splits open, shooting a steam of blood onto the moon. I believe that the Rebuild is Shinji getting a second shot at life. Makes sense to me at least.
