Try experience everything out side of your box (Room/Home) before it's to late. Enjoy life before your time runs out. So yea I guess everything has it's time. I'm not saying don't use your computer anymore, But I'm saying everything has it's limit so don't waste your time all day in your room, And go out and experience new things. That's the message I saw to this film.

I seriously doubt that you knew from the onset that they weren't going to escape. Obviously, later on you have to have the events/actions that will cause the conclusion. Every single second leaves mistery open to the audience. The armature pupptes are very distinguish. The fact that they do not have mouth is very meaningful, the tons of papers portraying habit, pain, stress. Is simply a masterpiece. I enjoyed the end which is also a mistery. Thank you for sharing! Well what happens in part two is another earthquake hits which makes them fall down to the floor. One of the guys wind up key hits hard enough to crank it over just enough to let him crank the other guys key. This brings them both back to life and they escape into the land where they set up DES appointments and aquire emergency funds, a Quest card, Mercy care and unemployment benefits. They do away with the cranks and install battery opperated servos, meet up with some fine babes and live happy.

this short film brought up multiple themes.

this story tells us that we can't survive by ourselves and that we need others.

it also shows us that dreams are near to impossible to fulfill. they want to escape but are unable to- similar to we want dreams that we cant reach.

also, it shows how humans in general have no knowledge of the outside world but just think of themselves- they trapped

that's all i can think of. i'm still trying to figure out if the paint symbolizes something.

i really liked the way you showed us how much time was spent in the room with the use of the stacks of paper, combined with the repetition.

i was expecting an explanation as to why they stayed in the room and only thought to check the door now. maybe them being surprised that the door opened *this time* or something would have worked.

also, the pacing was great. it was long, but that helped in the frantic ending, combined with the clicking.
