15-20 years ago when I was in the North Weymouth Car 831 on days, I would run into Bill sitting in his car in Great Hill Park and we would talk for a while. He was an interesting guy and a WW2 vet. Years before that I remember him coming to Johnson School as Safety Officer in the early 60's
Cool! i live down the street from the landing. and went to school at sacred heart which is the school right behind that church.... sadly it burned down...
I used to live up the street from here on Front St. at the corner of Broad. Attended kindergarten at the school across from Weston Park, got my first bike from the store at the corner of 53 and Broad. My dad used to be service manager at the Chrysler (I think) dealership right at the bridge on Quincy ave.
This is great...I actually knew that traffic cop (Bill Reilly, one of the finest men ever). He was also our crossing guard when I was in grammar school in North Weymouth. Thanks for posting!
that's awesome Officer Riley was wonderful. I remember going to the south naval air base to a christmas party there. I think he was in charge of it
