Notice that they have removed what they thought was the song, but moon river is still just the sample.

having said that I think that Koala is more a DJ than all these cats with their ultra sick routines, which you just can't follow because they're too twisted. this thing here is just simply beautiful. just shows that you don't need be technically perfect to create something incredible (although I don't doubt in Koala's skills at all), it's just you and the records. Koala's Moon River is a perfect example of what separates people that understand the skill, practice and talent necessary to DJ... and the jamokes of the world that think DJing is just playing a song, pressing some buttons and playing another song.

hmmm i disagree. being a house DJ i fully appreciate the skill involved in tablism. I could never do this stuff; i have a lot of respect for it. but surely isnt being a good dj about good music - be it beatmix dj or tablist?

I also am a house DJ and have no chance of ever doing this (just saw him live Wednesday so I know he's in his own league). And the music is hugely important.

But I'm sure you beatmatch. There are some people of the general populous that don't understand a DJ is doing more than playing a song and then starting the next song. Even us house DJs have some technical skills (tho not as much as The Kid). That's what I'm saying.

Yeah i know what you mean. Peeps like The Kid simply take it to the next level. This verges on making music out of other peoples. Whereas 4/4 djs like myself are mere selectors really. Either way, the art of djing is deeper than playing other peoples records. You can hear the love when someone like The Kid is playing. Superb!
