This video could be renamed: Ruiz on how great Dudamel is. I was hoping to get an insight on what Prokofiev 5 meant for Dudamel (I've seen himn performing it in Amsterdam, absolutely amazing!), but instead they are only complimenting each other.

I agree. There is not much insight into the work itself apart from general banalities. I have been listening to this work ( for the 1st time ) for the last month or so in the Rattle/CBSO version and was hoping for some specific insights.

Very interesting interview. I heard his Prokofiev 5 in Berlin and it was very good. The Rachmaninov "Isle of the death" was boring, as was Stravinskys Violin concerto but that's not Dudamels fault.

La música clásica es uno de los placeres más sublimes que puede tener el ser humano. La orquesta puede compararse con La Vía Láctea donde cada planeta(músico) ocupa su órbita cumpliendo las leyes de la armonía y el sol ( director) transmitiendo el magnetismo universal y dando vida al concierto.

Forget Dudamel. Ruiz's maturity is simply outstanding. I think the questions are far better formulated than the answers themselves! I am Gustavo's Nº 1 fan, but Edicson is just amazing. Good "inside the scene" interview.
