Brian May is a fine one to talk - the Pacific Plastic Vortex is made up entirely of unwanted queen lps! (To be fair, however, I couldn't agree more with him on the subject in question - and yes, he'd make a great teacher, particularly on eco-environmental matters).
brian's argument was against foxhunting as a sport, if foxes are posing a problem to farmers they can be culled humanely. there is no reasonable argument for ripping them to shreds with dogs for some toffs enjoyment.
How anyone, let alone with a surname like "Herbert", can sit in a studio and disagree on any issue with a Rock Legend (it said so on the subtitle) is beyond me. Parting "sort the economy out, f$%kwit" shot was superlative. And I bet all that Dr Bri was thinking was "just let me strap you to 12 AC30's and belt out the intro to Hammer to Fall, dickhead". Also remarkable evidence of Hillary Benn making sense live on air. A classic.
It doesnt surprise me when a Tory talks about wanting the hunting act repealed. Many of them have utterly disgraceful attitudes towards animals with no understanding of them, no consideration for their lives nor any feelings whatsoever for them. Cameron has even agreed to export our pigs to, of all places, China, who we know have a diabolical record of animal cruelty and who skin dogs and cats alive for fur. How could he be so nasty, uncaring and cruel. We need more people like Brian.
The claim that culling badgers reduces the spread of TB to cattle is not just wrong, but also has quite the opposite effect. Since the first badger cull, in the 1970's, 59,000 badgers have been killed, yet 118,000 cattle have been slaughtered because the culls cause the badger colonies to break-up and spread around.
Nick's response: "I wasn't around then" great answer you idiot. I say get Brian in government he could do better than those tory toffs who hunt foxes whilst chowing down on their smoked salmon sandwiches
Nebcop - I hill walk three times a week and have only ever seen sheep that have died from bad husbandry. Of 475 farms surveyed in Wales over a 4 YEAR Period - only thirteen lambs are thought to have killed by a fox in all that time. So come on Nebcop, where's your proof that foxes take loads of lambs???? Stray dogs account for far more lamb deaths, but you don't go around killing stray farm dogs do you?
...watched to the end.. the last thing said by Bri.. was AWESOME. i slapped my knee and shouted out just now. NICE... oh Brian, keep it up man.. keep it up.

Never been a Queen fan but must admit Brian May as proved himself to be a special star on this issue, while people like Clapton, Andy Fairweather Low,Stevie Winwood, Georgie Fame and others hob nob with the hunting set, May has shown himself to be above these people with his understanding of life on this planet and what it really means.
All praise to Nick Herbert, he put his side very well although there were two very anti hunt people against him and like he said perhaps the Beeb might like to put on a film with interviews from hill farmers about the amount of lost lambs to the fox
Estos son hombres que realmente hacen un gran bien a la humanidad, empezando por su aportación científica que hacen, también porque tratan de hacer un muno de mejor para todos los seres vivos. Come on people let’s send this link on to as many people as we can. It seems that Brian is a lonely voice standing up for the rights of animals. Its hard to stand the ridicule from people when you try to defend animal rights (trust me I come from a farming family...its not easy).

I can't believe that the conservative member who disagrees with Dr. May defends an antiquated ritual which allows people to kill foxes wherever they find them and destroy farmers' property! If this is allowed, then I suggest people should be allowed to drive on the properties of the supporters of this ridiculous ritual, and kill any animals they find, and not have to pay for the destruction to property they cause.
Nick Herbert makes me sick!!! Fox hunting should left in the past like slavery and child labour. Brian please keep fighting and we will fight with you

I totally agree with you Brian, wish I had the power to do what you are doing for the animal kingdom. Currently 4 dogs and 5 cats are living with me and my husband. And food is always available to any feline that chooses to drop by.

I'm behind Brian on this one, 100%!!! Foxes and Badgers are beautiful animals that don't deserve the cruelty that they're facing.
The ending of this video absolutely took my breath away!!! Good for you, Brian!!!

Nic Herbert has no argument - he made that obvious!! The fact he advocates people to kill for fun as a matter of individual conscience, is repulsive.

By the way, saw six dead fully grown sheep which had been ripped to bits by guess what? Yes dogs!.
Well done Brian - Nic Herbert is a horrible man!! And I believe he's a former terrier-man!

most Europeans considered the slave trade as an expectable thing
simply because it was common practice in the society they was living in,
as black people were considered to be subhuman . thankfully most of us these days
know thats a completely wrong & sick .
how long will it be before animals get the respect they deserve ?
yet saying that , there's still plenty of human atrocity going on every day right now.
but who gives a toss , so long as we get'n dosh!
