@davidusminimus Well salvia works differently on different people, and it all depends on your state of mind/body. For example I've used it 20-30 times, depending on if I'm stoned or drunk when I take it, or how tired I am, I can get a huuuge trip off 10x or fail to trip on 20x. Try it when you're drunk, you should notice a big difference.

And if you realize the world around you knows that your on salvia by people watching you, or even listening to music, they always seem to have a judgmental attitude that makes me feel very insecure and uncomfortable.

@syan1990 Yea man, I've done it a lot more since then (even though we all said we wouldnt :P ) and I agree. The best way to experience salvia is in a dark, quiet room. The optimal way to experience it I think would be with a sensory deprivation tank, as sight/sound/touch always produce an unsettling feeling of dissonance for me.

One is a relaxing "party" drug, while Salvia allows you to see and experience things, albeit sometimes horrifying, that you will never experience (save for extreme circumstances... starvation, death, heat stroke?) in normal life.

It is a variable drug, and it's effects vary a lot among people. Even the time of day, what you ate that day, your mood, stress level, all are determinants of the efficacy of the drug. Some days I do everything right, smoke 10x, and it doesn't make me trip, other days I'm playing golf with god in lala land.

@BradyBrutal6969 those "x" things are usually bullshit. the first time i did it we got a bag of 10x. the first couple of times i smoked it, i just got a laugh attack. later that day we went to some pond and i wasnt familiar with the location. thinking that that salvia was weak and only made me laugh, i packed that bowl super tight. i got the biggest hit ever and had the most mind blowing experience ever. i was in a different dimension. no trace of reality as we know it.

@jackwebzzz yea man, you don't want to use pipe hits with salvia. You need to inhale a very large amount of smoke initially to feel the effects of salvia. Taking pipe hits will give you a buzz, but unless those hits completely fill your lungs to the point where you feel like you will burst (which is impossible with a normal pipe) you won't trip out.

It really doesn't depend so much on the "x" value, this is how much leaf was used to prepare the extract, the efficiency of the extract also determines the strength which depends on how well the leaf was grown (how much of the active ingredient it produced during growth), and apparently the leaves vary in strength naturally (such as different strains of marijuana). I had a friend who tried 30x of dirt cheap salvia, it did nothing. He tried 5x of this expensive brand and he tripped balls.

You need to record longer, you are only recording the first minute, out of 5-20 minutes of the reaction.

Record the time, next time you do it... It only seems like 5 minutes pass, but 20 have, by the time you fully recover. (The visual part is only 5 minutes, but the realization and the "Story", are the best part to us. We can't see what's in their head, we need to hear it.)

Thank you Palm that was an insightful comment. In fact I did record ten minutes actually, but since I was still on my salvia trip (not the visual part so much) I was having trouble with the camera, and a lot of the time it was pointed at the sky. Because of this I edited it down to the 2 minute clip which is why it may seem disjointed.
