That was a stupid video. I have seen so much more exciting videos than that, including this one video called "tornado videos". That is a good video man, AWSOME!!!!!!
Research says that the UK has the most tornadoes per square mile in the world. The only thing is is that they're so tiny, you hardly notice them or hear of them.
I am definitely going to travel to America at some point in my life and go with a professional storm chasing team.
The UK has the most tornadoes per square mile of any country. I still think Oklahoma beats it. But due to the huge land area of the U.S., which includes the enormous state of Alaska, the ratio of Tornadoes is greatly reduced.
@dragonridley Very well stated. I saw where a Texan was boasting that his state gets the most tornadoes which is true. But Oklahoma is only a fifth the size of Texas and averages almost half of what Texas gets per year. Texas is 110 and Oklahoma is 53 on yearly average. Kansas is around 47 if I remember right. Wouldn't be surprized if it went up a tick after that 2008 season. They had a rediculous record of 187 tornadoes that year. Might be 189, whatever it is, that is a lot.
sorry. PLEASE DON`T READ THIS you will die in seven days if you don`t post this comment on 10 videos in the next hour. if you do, tomorrow will be the best day of your life
I suppose your right with your previous statement of tornadoes per square mile now I come to think of it that way.
I know you can't tell the strength of a Tornado by its appearance; it's just that the US tend to have big impressive thunderstorms and tornadoes. Visually; I think they're amazing! I'd love to see one.
I live in Pennsylvania myself. We get tornado warnings on occasion but I've only actually seen one funnel cloud. I know there was a pretty bad outbreak in my area about 25 years ago that included an F5. I wasn't born yet though.
I live in Nebraska...more tornado country... and I've never seen a tornado because I stay in my BASEMENT like I'm SUPPOSED to during storms! Through my grade school career I had six classmates who lost their homes to tornadoes. Sure they look cool, but don't take for granted how destructive these storms are!
i live in nebraska too!!! ashame that a tornado touched down on that wednesday in the middle of Lincoln and about 5 funnel clouds came over my house, and my bro had a baseball game, the tornado sirens were going off and they wouldn't stop the game at all, i mean off and on heavy rain at valpraso which is kinda weird to see
Size never matters when it comes to tornadoes. The majority of F5 tornadoes are 1/8 to 1/3 of a mile wide, and some are as small as 25-30 yds. I'm not saying that there aren't mile-wide F5 tornadoes, but often a tornado's bark is bigger than it's bite.
My Grandparents are from Arkansas. My grandmother said that she was small, she and her sisters and brothers would be outside playing and see a tornado in the distance and just point to it and go, "Yep, there goes another one of them 'twisters' again". Like it was nothin'.....It's SCARY to me.
I live not too far from Deer Trail - What a storm... Calhan got 5.7 mil in hail damage, Ramah nearly got dozed by a similar twistr, Limon saw several nearby, like this one. '04 was an active tornado year in Eastern Colorado indeed!
He says it's a beauty!! Ha, it's HORRIBLE!! It's UGLY!! IT'S THE FINGER OF DEATH!! A beauty. Sheece, yeah, right. Nothing sucks more than a tornado. Nada. Nilcho. Namba!
How is it ugly? It is a beautiful natural disaster. Come on, you have to admit it really does look cool. It's not out to get you, it's nature's way of balancing the earth. Oh, and a flood would 'suck' more. <_<
Beautiful natural disaster? That's an oxymoron. Imagine if you will the reasoning of a Native American centuries ago. He knows that a warm, breezy, sunshiney day is a positive expression of The Gods, a good thing to be enjoyed. On another day he witnesses a BOILING, ROTATING, OMINOUS BLACK CLOUD WITH A SINUOUS, WRITHING ENTITY EMERGING BENEATH approach and destroy his life. Is Nature really so objective?
There is something a little off when you hear someone raving about how "fantastic" a tornado is when you realize there are people who are losing everything, maybe even their lives, at the same time. Thankfully this tornado seems to be out in the open. I have no tolerance for people who go on storm chasing vacations, where they actually pay to go out in a group and look for tornados and cheer when they find one. Try living in tornado alley for six months.
Damn! I lived in Colorado from 1982-1992 (Littleton, Ft. Collins and Denver close to Aurora) and I never did get to see a tornado. We lived in a place called Green Valley Ranch that was definitely in Eastern CO, perfect place for tornadoes but I never got to see one. I miss COLORADO!!
To tornadoes going anticlockwise and the tornado is growing in a natural rate. It's a real tornado. But look EXTREMELY CLOSELY, and it didn't trully touch the ground. Although it wouldn't make any difference to it's deadlyness though.
I think it's real, personally. Actually, I know it's real. I remember watching the news and hearing about this. I heard that it was just 5 tornadoes, but I could be wrong!
this video it's very cool... but i don't speak english very well...so i write my comment in my language...if somebody understand...great!!! mi piacciono i tornado ma sl vederli quando nn ci sn io in mezzo...sarebbe terribile...morirei di paura!!! ok...by!!!! babi
