  • I think that it's awesome that you saw the good side of everything in your life. It makes me wonder where I stand. I also know where you're coming from when it comes to the roaches. My god I think I may have killed twenty of them yesterday while super cleaning. Seriously, I was screaming DIE BITCH DIE the whole time xD. My goal is to see all fifty states, and a country...You've already seen 3 states and FRANCE...I'm jealous xD lol. I'm sure that at some point I can find a way to reach my goals.

  • Did you ever ended up going to Stanford for undergrad?

  • You were a freaking awesome little kid...not such a bad adult, either.

When I wear civilian clothes no one knows who I am, either!!!

  • New jersey sucks :P

  • LOL. when I was little my dad and I saw 3 radio towers on our way to day-care and we named the berny, boreguard, and belvadere.

  • You were (and still are) so cute!

  • you are my hero

  • i visit palo alto all the time! (my family lives there) and my dog is named joe =O

  • My God. You moved around ALOT and u were a kid in all those pictures.

  • I love the pajamas!!!

  • your videos never get old, no matter how many times I watch them. You can ALWAYS make me laugh.

  • wow! you look so much like your dad.

  • This was great!! Now do one for the "intermediate years"....

  • I swear to god i use to be on jacks top friend on myspace :)

  • Joe is officially my favorite dog ever!

    Very funny video, too.

  • Excellent video Jack.

Sounds like childhood began with heroic exploits,

    at least imaginary ones.

I like the "get rid of diapers early 'cause I could run faster"

    bit too. narazie...

  • ooooohhhh.....

  • Yay Palo Alto!

(That's where my mom grew up. How she ended up in Boston is beyond me.)

Yeah...that's all I have to contribute to this video...I've run out of pseudo-witty things to say.

  • Very cute pictures....

and u dun looks like naughty kid who bully the others:)

  • Aaaahhh, so cute. :)

You look so much like your dad who, by the way, in one picture looks a lot like Eric McCormack. (But I don't think you look like Eric.)

I think it's awesome that you read and respond to your comments - do you ever read your emails? And do you have a MySpace page?

Okay, that's all of my questions. :)

  • Man, you have to rock the super hero pajamas. I was inseparable from a pair of Superman pajamas for at least a year.

  • That was so cute

  • what's with the new jersey hate, jack?

  • i thought u lived in philly now?

  • Saw your response on Nalts baby photo mix..

What an excellent video...I really enjoyed it...I have always loved looking at other peoples family pictures...I don't know why...as I kid I used to ask my myself and parents...why does everybody stay in their houses...why don't they come out and talk and play? Well thanks for the early years journey. Nice.

  • Please can someone from the youtube community ilustrate me on the subject why is NJ is so hated ?

  • it's a combination of it being surrounded by much better things (like phily, DC, and NY) and being full of guidos.

  • It's all perception. There are beautiful parts of New Jersey (for example, Hunterdon County), but what most people see and remember is I-95 between New Brunswick and New York City. Oh, the odor of the oil refineries.

And think about it. Two NFL teams play in New Jersey -- the New York Giants and New York Jets.

  • Phildelphians' hatred of New Jersey is complex. To understand it you need to understand the city wide psychology of Philadelphia. Once the commercial and political center of the country, Philly is now sandwiched between New York and D.C.

  • t's insignificant in comparison, and we naturally have a huge inferiority complex. It doesn't help that we put a lot of pride in our sports teams and haven't won a championship in nearly a quarter century. So we need some one to feel superior to and that all gets heaped on New Jersey.

  • I rarely have patience to watch a 4 min nostalgic video, but this was excellent. Loved the pj's. I feel like I understand you a tiny bit better.

  • so cute. made me nostalgic for Philly.

  • You're the cutest baby of all time ever! I thought your parents didn't take pictures?

I'm actually going to be in Princeton, NJ this weekend. Anything I should do while I'm there?

  • I think the picture taking stopped in the mid 90's.

Unless there is something going on at the University, no there's nothing you should do in Princeton. But you are very close to the splendor and majesty that is Trenton!

  • awsome man! YOu look like your dad =)

  • Hey, you look just like your dad. Nice video. You aren't so strange after all.

    :P

  • HAHA I know why you were wearing the Superman costume in your work out vid (other than the obvious fact that it was called the "Superman"). Nice vid. You look a lot like your dad!

  • wait.. you were born in France? YOUR FRENCH?!! that'd be like finading out Steven Colbert was actually born in North Karea!

  • Wow, this was surprisingly interesting.... Hmmm.... Is surprisingly really spelled like that???

  • Awe, you were a cute kid and you look just like your dad too!

  • Your a good story teller.

  • Also, when you moved to California, you didn't live far from where I live today, and that's kind of cool.

  • very well done. You kept me watching a auto biography thats hard to do .

  • Great pictures! You were a cute kid!

  • loved it minus the insults to jersey!

  • I grew up in Philadelphia. Insulting New Jersey is pretty much mandatory. I think we were issued Jersey Insult booklets in elementary school.

  • You're French. Unsubscribed.

    Just kidding you rock!

  • Je ne suis pas Francais!

  • Désolé je dois avoir compris mal.

Can't wait for the other episodes! I just wanted to add that I love the Dictionary of Jack segments.

  • That story was awesome! You're so lucky to have gotten to live in Palo Alto. That's one of my dream places to live.

  • 'We didnt take many pictures of Joe'

    Brilliant

  • wow u make looking at other peoples photos interesting.

  • you were nauseatingly cute as a child

  • Wow, you look a lot like your dad did. Of course, I'm sure you NEVER got that when you were younger ;)

  • Wow that was so exciting. I wish I could do a video of my life but, it likey wouldn't be that good.

  • Funny. Very nice editing with the photos, it flowed so well with your story.

  • Great pics!

  • This was so cute and made me giggle!

You have an awesome wit about ya and you look JUST like your dad!

    *JessicA*

  • bye, you ungrateful beatch

  • Bye. Oh, and why am I ungrateful and where are you going?

  • Wow. It looks like you have a crazy, pissed off stalker. xD

  • "doesn't hurt to run back then"?

  • Yes. It hurts to run now. It didn't hurt to run back then.

  • run, run and learn some tact along the way.

  • OK, you were a seriously adorable kid. Thanks for sharing!

  • you look so like your dad, i know everyone must say that.

  • The church on 22nd and Spruce is still there and is still a nursery too. I recognized it because it still has the same bright red door. Funny...

  • My brother wears super hero PJs too.

He saw this and swears you stole his Spider-man PJs.

    =O!

  • that was really well done! I think this is one of my favourite videos of yours! and you look a lot like your dad.

  • Okay... you were an absolutely adorable kid who has grown into a rather handsome guy. Good on you!

  • It's nice to see where you're coming from... We don't know much about you, except that you do a very good impression of Frodo loll Keep up the good work! : )

  • Very good video. I live in Philadelphia and am in the neighborhood some of your pics were taken. Your old nursery is on 22nd and Spruce, right. I walk past it everyday on my way to the subway when I go to work. On that trip I also walk through Rittenhouse Square.

  • 22nd and Spruce sounds about right. It was in an old church.

  • is your real name Jack?

  • amazing life

  • there's nothing wrong with NJ :-P

  • funny,sweet and entertaining,gj 5 *!

  • you look a lot like your dad!

  • The new equipment is working great. Great production and you should not bad mouth NJ because my wife is from there. Maybe my wife will subscribe to you.

  • sounds more exciting than my life

  • "and it didn't hurt to run back then." haha i'm getting ready for a 15k next weekend. don't remind me!

usually when people show you their family pictures it makes you fall asleep. this one was actually really intesting and very funny. great job! you look a lot like your dad.

  • I really hope running doesn't hurt for you in quite the same way it does for me. I'm still quite speedy over short distances, but my legs have some serious issues.

  • hahaha great stuff - wow thats a lot of traveling, and I thought I moved lots...22 and 8 times, right now I feel like such a lightweight

  • If you count all the different places I've lived, even if they were in the same general area, I've moved 15 times in 25 years. I'm like a gypsy.

  • that was great and i would like to meet your dad.

  • O.K. Jack! You may as well just come out and tell everybody who you are. Seems to me, if you are going to post something like this, then what in the hell do you need an alias for?

  • That was great.

  • Nice job, Jack. And now I see where you got your good looks from!

  • I know this is somewhat unrelated, but is New Jersey really as bad as everyone says, and if so why?

  • Cute then... cute now!

I see a lot of resemblance between you and your dad. Great video!

  • You were so adorable....Now what happened?

  • thanks for sharing; love your work. you're in my vid log. best

  • Gee, You're welcome

  • AWesome!!!!

  • So, I was born in NJ! I don't remember it, but I don't think I would like to live there.

California, on the other hand, I wish I could move back!

  • LOL that was hilarious!!

This HAS to be followed up with "Jack: The Venti Half-Caff Skimmed Carmel Mocha Frappuccino Years"

  • wow. you're pretty much the cutest thing ever.

  • lol badass superhero pajamas

  • I guess I can't refrain from saying:

    You misspelled "PEAS"!

Keep up the good work. The ante is up since you began getting paid to do videos, and you still have time for us here at YouTube. How sweet...

  • You look just like your dad!

  • it's like a documentary! O.o lol anyway ur dad looks alot like you XD

  • This is really good, the music in the background is nostalgic and sentimental. It's fantastic to see a real insight into the people we know and love on youtube

  • this video is so sweet!! do another like this

JACK: THE TEENAGE YEARS!!! (with some music from old dracula movies)

  • this is a nice video

  • I will hear nothing bad about my NJ, except from other Jerseyians.

  • ahhhhhhhhhhh! i loved this! it only took u a year to make it! lol

  • This was hella good. I really enjoyed it.

  • that was pretty damn cool, now do the next 5 years O:

  • I'd repress memories of New Jersey too... I'll never know if I actually went there

  • New Jersey seems to have that effect on people. Nice video!

  • aw so cute!

  • Love this video :) what a sweet way to remember your childhood. I'm glad you blocked out NJ.

  • I had the only superhero-pajama not represented in this video.

    Batman, yeah! :D

  • Wonderful Excellent video

  • niiiice :D badass superhero pajamas are great!

  • witty and adorable

    you were a cute kid

  • super cute vid...:)

  • Nice video

  • It's your brow and the squinting thing you and your dad do that draws the most attention to your resemblance, but other facial features are similar too. Anyway, I thought this was an awesome video... one of the best YT autobios I've seen. :)

  • your parents must be very proud :)

  • Cool video. I had somehow been thinking you were older. It's probably just me not wanting to except how old I am. Great parents you have. You have had a pretty interesting life so far.

  • Your a great story teller and funny.

  • great video!!!

  • I loved it! Very Very cool! And ok, I won't say anything about how incredibly alike you and your father are

  • That was really good!

  • Sorry I see that was mentioned quite often already :)

  • excellent video,,thanks

  • Gosh your dad looks so much like you!

  • you were an adorable little kid!

heh. you're the same age as my sister. random pointless thought.

can't wait to see your new video. :)

  • Dude, you make even lame slideshows smart and entertaining. Once again, you've proven that good quality has more to do with intelligence and wit than it does expensive equipment and technical ability.

In class, we call that "The Phantom Menace Phenomenon."

  • Cool. This info will totally improve my chances of successfully stalking you. Soon, my pretty, I'll track you down so we can be together forever. Tonight I'll search for you in all the Chucky Cheese ballpits in New Jersey. Its only a matter of time. Muhuhuwahaha.

  • That was great Jack, thank you for sharing (:

  • what happened to the quiz? i took notes!! lol

  • I really enjoyed that, lol! Nice work!

  • Same first word. I'm officially frightened. You are your dad's clone. I'm notifying the authorities. Nice vid!

  • Ok, saying I'm my dad's clone is going a little far. I know I chose pictures where I look a lot like him, but I'm 4 inches taller and weigh about 50 lbs more.

  • So it's cloning AND genetic engineering. Your parents are in big trouble mister. LIGHTS! lol I have vowed that "lights" will also be my last word...just for the novelty.

  • I love the Super Hero pj's! I had the Batman ones, and my twin brothers had the Superman and Robin ones. We were constantly playing Heroes. :-D I can't wait to see your next video.

  • You DO look uncannily like your father!

  • Part 2, age 6-12

  • Five stars even with the uncalled-for Jersey dis.

  • Apparently you've never been to Camden.

  • No, but you can't judge the whole state from what you can see from Philly. New Yorkers do the same thing. Something about books and covers come to mind.

  • wow i feel closer to you now

  • Superhero pajamas are awesome. My brothers used to have Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle pajamas. Badass, I know.

    lol

  • you look just like your dad i did not know you were french where your parents american at the time

  • umm, he isn't french. He was born in France though because his father was working for a magazine company. His parents are american hence we would be american. Though he may have duel citizenship, since he was born in France to American parents.

Okay, why am I explaining this?!

    Anyway, cool video.

  • Håagen daz is the bomb

  • aww that doggy is cute lol

  • I loved this video :)

  • Jack -- You are YouTube Royalty!

  • awesome

    now do your teens

  • awesome Jack I didnt knew that u were bron in Paris. Makes the city nicer then it actually is :)

  • I can't believe how much you look like your dad!! Loved the video

  • At 1:42, one can definitely see the family resemblance. I can't wait to see the completion of your montage, and thanks for the info on the Franklin Institute. I want to go!

  • The Franklin Institute is amazing! And it's gotten so much better than it was back in the day. Check it out if you get a chance.

  • I love the Franklin Institute too. (I live near Lansdale.) My best visit there was taking my nephew when he was 4 and visiting from Kentucky. It was great seeing his reactions.

  • I would have never thought I would have liked a video like this, but you did such a GREAT job of it, I can't wait to see the rest.

  • This was great, sir. I highly enjoyed it. It was inspiring. Thank you.

  • Oh, wow! I absolutely loved this. There's one picture of you Dad where I definitely see the family resemblance.

Please continue on. I just won't be able to sleep soundly without knowing about what happened in elementary school!

    (Pretty please?)

  • Agreed, i'd love to see more of the same.

    Regards,

    Sam.

  • Maybe.

  • nice lol

  • Cute.

  • now that was an interesting video. well done!

  • My dog that recently died sounds alot like zachary. or even the dog I had before him. But the dog I have now is kinda dumb but thats probably cause he is to hyper to think.

  • Nice video.

And cute dogs. Zackary looks a lot like my Sheltie Frodo (also a tri-color).

  • Zachary was a Shetland Sheepdog.

  • You look like your dad. Cute video.
