  • i love tri grippers!!!

  • This truck must of come from San Jose after Recology/ NorCal's contract ended. It's a split body RR, it's on a Volvo chassis, it has those tri-grip gripper things, and the sign is a San Jose sign.

  • @WasteManTony Yes it most likely is from that. I remember hearing about that, wasn't the contract ended early or something? I have another video of trucks like this if you want to see it, type "Heil Rapid Rail Co Collector part 1" into youtube's search.

  • nice video

  • The Hydro pump on this truck runs at full speed at idle It doesnt help to rev it up!!!

  • THATS MY DAD!!!!!!!!

  • Really? I got to meet him when I was filming this, he's a real nice guy as I remember! You should show him this video

  • nice work. too bad it dosnt rev the arm, although the spped of the arm is reasonable. 5 stars and fav

  • Yep, completely agreed; would enjoy it more w/ revving but reasonable speed @ idle..Thanks again!

  • lol at 2:00 the can is backwards!!!

  • WOW nice video! i finally had a chance to get back on lol the hopper sheild on the co collecter is interesting because its multiple peices put together not one solid screen

  • Yeah good observation! lol It's taller too

  • iinteresting..thats a neat truck

  • Wow man, look who's just become a hectic legend on YT!! Terriffic footage mate, loved every bit of the video! I really favour that intro you threw in at the start too; nice to see all the trucks you talked about in that e-mail :) Do you know why he was only collecting garbage? Cool to see another split ASL too, would like to see more of them around. Gotta hate how the sun screws up the picture like at 2:15 as well... a real bugger isn't it? Definitely looking forward to the rest of the trucks :)

  • LOL Thnx.....Yeah, I was looking to do something with a four way split screen but didn't want to waste time trying to find out how to do that---ended up throwing that intro together in about 2 min. and I think it turned out surprisingly well :D

See my response to GatorJake on why he didn't do greens in the other compartment (think he just used both for trash...

Yeah, reminded me of some old ass footage or something...but wait a minute, isn't this camera hardly a year old (only a baby!) LOL!!

  • Thnx

  • VERY NICE opening video of the series! 5 Stars! Looks like you found a DuraPack Rapid Rail! Nice!!! Also like to see the familiar Toter carts. I can't wait to see the split body Labries!

  • Yeah, sure did. Uh, sorrry, didn't find any Labries though. They operate mostly in the Frisco area, which I unfortunately didn't end up visiting.

  • Oh thats okay. Were you able to find any Semi-Auto MSL's?

  • where is this?

  • Rocklin, CA

  • awsome i like how u can see the joy stick,,,

    5 stars dude

  • Thnx!! Yeah, surprisingly the sun didn't reflect on the windshield for that shot :D

  • thats a good thing lol.

well. besides the point that the arm was kinda slow..; i cant wait for the curbtender.. it looked fast and the other wanna be rapid rail lol :D when will be uploading.>?

  • All in good time... :D No, it'll be within the next few weeks. Things'll be kinda busy for a little while and then I'll have more time. You'll see it all, dw..

  • ... i gota big summer heading for me the 1st all sound summer.! ESD EDCo AW WM +++++ should be coming up just wait 27 more days till summer series kick off

  • I know where that last part at 8:43 ish was. It was by Loree's Little Shack by the Railroad Tracks right off of Midas and Pacific Street!!!

  • Yep, that was coming out of the alley between San Francisco and Pacific. Thanks for the comment :D

  • Sweet video. I sure wish chillin626 was still here to see this. Faved and *****.

  • Agreed....I'm dedicated one of the upcoming vids to him.

  • Why did he close his account?

  • I'm pretty sure it was because things in life were getting to busy for YT...not entirely sure why he didn't just leave the account open and have someone maintain all the msgs. and comments though....

  • do u like the new name of the company

  • Not at all, I wish they'd keep it the same. Although I see where they're going, NorCal WASTE would kind of be an ironic name when they're trying to recycle everything they collect.

  • neither do i

  • so no seporate recycling contaners evry thing goes in one bin

  • Yep, greens is separated from that though.

  • hmmm suspitios

  • Of course all the recycling's sorted out from the trash later on though, as described in the description...

  • yes thats good but theres acompany up in taho that says they do but they dont

  • Yeah I know who you're talking about...what makes you say they don't?

  • iv been to the transfer station and the rcycleing is in blue bags and the truck dumped and the tracter pushed it rite in the traller to the dump whith tons of blue bags in it

  • The company, I think, Is Tahoe Truckee Sierra Disposal....have a couple vids of trash w/ bluebag collection....IN THE SAME TRUCK!

  • yes it goes in the same truck but there sopost take it out and the dont cause anather time we had a truck full of bilding materal and the truck was to big to go to the transfer station so we went to the land fill and a trasfer traler came and dumed full of blue bags!

  • Wow, that's sad.....

  • we were at the dump anda transfer traler cameand dumad and it was full of blue bags

  • wow i was slopy cameand is soposed to be came and. also dumad issoposed to be dumped ok

  • And I think he's referring to South Tahoe Refuse

  • Great job catching this one! Cool truck, I like how it can collect Rubbermaid cans like the one around 5:50. Just one question though, why didn't he use the separate compartments for trash and yard waste? And if they have the highest percentage in CA, they probably have the highest percentage in the U.S.

  • Yeah, it very well could be!

You should see my first NorCal series, the Heil F7000 driver did that a HECK of a lot, was really neat to see!

I'm not entirely sure, maybe because the RR body is already small, and that wouldn't have held very much dividing THAT in half...Can't tell you precisely.

  • Yep, there seemed to be more set out in Rubbermaid containers then

  • That was also a different neighborhood, different set of people...

  • WOW! Awesome video! What city is this? (besides Auburn/Placer) I've been up there before and haven't seen anything like this! How much does Norcal recycle? Cause MSS has 72% He had to keep banging the can at 2:08. Why do people put ashes in their bin? It is really dangerous. Nice one!

  • Thanks! This was taken in Rocklin..the whole mega series was actually, in various different neighborhoods.

  • great catch scott. why no recycling

  • Read the description.

  • never mind thanks

  • Great vid buddy!

Norcal Waste has some really cool trucks!

They have some Lodal EVO's that I would love to see more video of...

  • Excellent work mate!! This is the first video on YT of a Heil Rapid Rail Co-Collecter. Is the body taller than a standard Rapid Rail like what you have in your council?Shame that he wasn't collecting both the garbage and the greens, however you probably will get some footage of him doing that one day. It would be interesting to compare the speed of this truck collecting greens/garbage or garbage/recycling to our Single Pass trucks in Australia.

  • Nah, I've got another series of two vids of one (actually using both compartments) in San Jose, CA, although that one was from a website...You could say this is the first *real* vid of a Co-Collector.

I'm sure it's a fair bit slower due to the arm's speed; takes longer on each bin. And I'm pretty sure the body's the same height/everything, just split vertically and with two tailgates.
