I saw the little gingerbread man in the background going by and thought how cute. This will be a perfect gift. Yes it will make excellent soaps for the boutique! Love it.
Question. What is the shelf life of Melt and Pour! Shelf life of Cold Press. I think you mentioned it and I am sorry I forgot. ;-( a thousand pardons my SoapQueen. :-) you are totally awesome!
My soap came out HORRIBLE! I am a first time soap maker BTW. When I popped my gingerbread men out of the mold the white outline and the red buttons didn't stick to the brown base at all. What could have I done wrong? They smell and look amazing on the outside, but once I took it out it was a disater. I want to try the project again as it is such a lovely holiday time soap/
@Spiceycocoa This is a slightly more advanced project - so might not be the best project for a first time soap maker - but way to go for it! Sounds like you didn't spray with alcohol right before you poured the brown background layer, a good spritz of rubbing alcohol helps to ensure that the soap sticks together. Also make sure you are using the same brand of soap for details and the body of the cookie.
@dujo44 The kit can make 3 to 4 soaps exactly like the ones I show in the video. But you'll have leftover white soap base and color and fragrance - so you just need more clear base if you want to make more! It's an incredible deal. :)
This video is so great,I love all of them,do you think you can sell the scraping tool seperatley?that's the only tool I think I need.Keep doing the great work!!!!
Let me just say, I LOVE your videos. I'm just starting and I've learned so much from you. I do have a question though. I'm wanting to use goat milk base rather than white. How will that affect my color results?
Goatsmilk M&P base has a slightly yellowish cast to it, and it's opaque. So all of your colors will be pastel with a very slight yellow tone. Still totally adorable and so nice and moisturizing for your skin.
These are sooo cute. And I have the gingersnap fragrance oil, it smells yummy !!! (I almost drank it without thinking the day it arrived). Did you spray your mold with cooking spray or anything first? I couldn't tell.
No, I don't spray my mold with anything - just seems to make the soap greasy. And if you are using molds intended for soap like these are, releasing them from the mold isn't a problem.
Yes, the Cappuccino mica and Merlot mica are both non-bleeding. So these soaps will stay nice and crisp even if you make them in advance for Christmas!
My recent videos have been too long to post on YouTube, I guess my latest projects are just more involved! But I always post them on my blog, so be sure to check my Soap Queen Blog every Thursday - just in case one of my videos can't be uploaded to YouTube.

That's a great idea. Currently we have the injector tool separately and it's very popular. We will get working on that.
Thanks!
