@crbndecay22 i dont know i am in oregon. but if you can run around with shotguns in cali which i know you can. my boy DanBowenTV who i train with in many of my vids and we have a playlist caled dan bowen trip 2010. it shows many vids of us fighting in full armor or ninja gear etc. guns etc. but message him on youtube. .DanBowenTV. he runs around doing wild stuff with weapons. he should know. i know he uses katana alot so i would assume this knife is no issue but i dont know for sure

@deathpunish2 no. no hollow handle survival knive with kit are. i always have full tang with me and this. so i use this for certain tasks. splitting wood as in batoning for firewood. or as a machete. i use full tang. i just always have a survival knive with me. not only do i have a lensmatic compass and a fire kit. this is just back up blade to make hunting or fishing spear. or back up matches or fishing stuff. or if my compass gets broke i have a back up.

i have a problem with mine where its blade is loose and moves around when i hold it is there any way to fix that

@Alexanderthewicked i didint remember if there is a bolt inside. if there is you could use a deep well socket wrench. but for some reason i dont think there is one. i dont use mine for splitting wood or heavy use. it is a cheaper knive. yes it is nice but not for hard core chopping. no hollow handle knife is good for that. the blades is sharp and the kit is nice. but i use mine for cutting etc. paracord or rope etc. but i use a full tang knife for heavy use. i keep in my pack

I love your vids man. Turned my boss onto them too. For those that don't know you shouldn't baton wood with a rat tail tang knife like this or the kbar marine. However the kbar Becker BK 9 or 2 is perfect for batoning wood. I have both and they're in my humble opinion the best. I do love the look of that budk survival knife though. I have one like it that my grandpop gave me when I was 7 and It's still great for most chores in the bush.

@Hornel66 thanks. yes in my comments i replied to others and told them. this is not the knive for batonning. this is for rambo shit lol. and use the compass. cut paracord. stab something. lol. use the stuff in the handle. prop for my fictional movies. i do fictional apocalypic vids too. all types of genre. but yes i would always use real full tang for that etc. peace and glad you like the vids

@treideme i will do all my new survival knives first. and nutnfancy has the best reviews on youtube on full tang knives. if you want to see some now or my other viewers. i did this vid while i was out doing my last airsoft vid. so now as i do each shooting vid etc. or camping. i will film a knive review cause i have 3 folders and at least 8 survival knives to show first. my other ones are used. these are all new in the box from budk. i try to show people on a budget the best bang for the buck

like the other guys here said i would not buy that. its junk $12,99 does not get you a proper knife it gets you a nice looking toy.

not to hate on you jason realy not but if you want a good knife see the brands they put below will cost more but you wont get a toy but something that if you take proper care of will last a lifetime.

I HAVE HIGH QUALITY FULL TANG KNIVES. i am not stupid. i know that this knive is sharp. and it is awesome looking. i dont use it to baton wood. i use full tang for that. but i always have a survival knive BECAUSE OF THE THINGS IN THE HANDLE. AND COMPASS. it is a extra blade. i know non full tang knives are not for chopping. THAT IS WHY I HAVE A HACHET OR MACHETE. i wont break it. one has to be smarter than the tool.

Jason those are great props etc for zombie movies and stuff like that. But I would never take them as a serious survival knife.

@BakersDozenReviews you bet. my full tang knnives are in a footlocker with my gas masks and all my other...if the shit hits the fan stuff....but on my dresser i got 8 new different survival knives similiar to this. i am a huge rambo fan. i just love them. i use them for cutting paracord etc. when i build the survival shelter i showed a few times in a few vids back. i used the knive for cutting all the cordage etc. i know they are as strong but they are cooler in many other ways. peace

also, I say that because two years ago I got the "jeep" survival knife to just mess around and sure enough it has that same "survial kit handle" and when I was chopping some light weight twigs and grass the tang seperated out of the handle. could have cut my hand to peices and in the backcoutry that will kill you. total garbage and was returned same say as bought. a kabar will never sperate (solid tip to stern tang).. anyway cool, hope to see an update man

@67mustangreg there is vids i think still on youtube of the kabar you speak of breaking at the handle. not full tang all the weay either. one has to be smarter than the tool. this is for cutting rope etc. it easy does that. use the compass or gear inside. it works. one should know that any knive that is NOT FULL TANG. should not be use for hacking or chopping. i always have a full tang for that or a machete. and then one of these also on me.

$12.99? Sorry man, with knives you usually get what you pay for. Looks badass and I am sure it's fun to play around with but for around $60 you can get a KaBAR marine issue bowie. NOT ragging on you just if you need to bet your life on that knife, it will fail you I guarentee that. Since you have two of them you should do stress testing and show us how long they last. Maybe I am wrong just always with knives I've gone with kershaws, kabars and genuine swiss armys. Never been failed once by them.

@MOUNTAINOUS ..if a survival knife cannot cut wood why bother owning it? Okay so it cuts rope. A kabar can do that too and a million other things. The compass? Thats a little liquid filled floater kind, I think my wilderness directional skills are more precise than it. the gear inside is a cool factor but not worth the structual integrity. I am sure you own other more expensive knives and I'm glad you like this one. I'm interested in a link to the kabar breaking.

@67mustangreg i sent you the link. i would own it even if i never used it cause it looks rambo and i am a rambo fan. period. but see the link of the broken kabar i sent you. the dude was batonning firewood and it broke. i used a crappy full tang one in a old vid and it did find so i dont know why the kabar broke but it did. but like i said in other comments. you have to use the tool for what it is made for or can handle. and carrying one knife is dumb anyway.
