This is disgraceful journalism. A person wholly uninformed, unconnected with case, who probably did not even read the 427 page Court document which motivates the verdict (he was saying the same exact things before such sentence was published) passing judgements which are too strong to be believed in a case where evidence of all sorts is solid and the defendant even admitted being on the scene of the crime accusing an innocent person. CBS should be more cautious and check its stories
common law rules! people actually get fair trials in the US. civil law sucks!
