When can we expect part 4?

  • The music studio was not in Tishimingo, its located in Hollybluff,Ms, after it closed down it was turn into a bellsouth telephone center, but now its run down.

  • Great movie!

  • i feel so stupid! i can't believe i thought george clooney was actually singing this song but he was really just lip synching it and no wonder! the person who's singing doesn't even sound like him. but a great actor, still. i think i speak for everyone when i say this was one of his best roles.

  • @LibraGurl192011 I reckon a lot of people thought it was George that was singing that... but it was Dan Tyminski. I actually got to hear Ralph Stanley sing that live. There was a haunting voice...!

  • pappy's one cold dude...

  • Love the rnadom Robert Johnson appearance.

  • loving it! Thanks!!!!!

  • Real clever how they pretended there was more than four of them when it was time for them to get paid.

  • damn he was more racist against his own people then to black folks .......love it "im not here to make a record ya dumb cracka"/...imgonna use that one on white people from now on...brilliant!!!!!!!

  • thank god ya mammy died of givin birth, shed seen ya she woulda died ashamed.

  • this movie was fun but the relations between the races in it are absurdly inaccurate. Movies insist on making protagonists seemingly ignore the racial situation around them even if the times would have dictated otherwise. This didn't make them bad people by itself, it was simply the time they lived in, and i'd like to see a movie made that shows someone who's clearly bigoted as a character with depth, rather than either an unsympathetic antagonist or whatnot

  • @Mazdak1 its a movie!

  • @Mazdak1 lol the south was like this hell missisippi is still like this 47 percent of missisippi today still despise blacks and 29 percent in america like altogether.

  • What does the sun say at the end till his father?? Press the flas?? Pass the flash??

  • @ElninhoKoji Press the flesh, shake hands i'm guessing

  • @tysonic777

Ty for the answer i searched for the manuscript and found that it was "press the flesh" So i learned something new!!

  • i guess i'm the only one that's unaffiliated!!!

  • There's still no part 4...

  • Come on in boys..

    The water is fine.<3

  • THE WATER IS FINE!

  • where's part 4?

  • a great movie but where part 4 ?

  • matty fan a pickin anna sangin

  • how did they get a car if it took 2 weeks to get that part, and only had 4 days to get to that treasure... weird

  • @jegarcia83 they stole it from the gas station when the driver went in to pay for the gas

  • Tommy is soo cool.

  • 1:6

    loool

  • This needs subtitles...

  • It's Nigra...In American English, nigra is a euphemistic pronunciation of nigger used in the American South to "more politely" speak of black people derogatorily in non-racist company. In some dialects of English spoken in the American South, it may merely be the regional pronunciation of negro rather than a deliberately and distinctly pronounced separate word.

  • That was some mighty fine a pickin and a singin!

  • We ain't one at a timin here. We're mass communicatin. Gotta love the dialogue on this film.

  • Lovely movie.

Do you think that racial equality actually exists now? No, we just have alot of laws promoting it, but the way we think is far from progressed. Are we better then our parents? Were our parents better then their parents? It goes slowly... with any luck in fifty years when I'm old and worthless I'll stop one day and be surprised with what I'm noticing.

Think about it! An asian/african hybrid! It would be... oh wait. Tiger Woods.

    Statement retracted. lol

  • WHERES PART 4?????????

  • the son that tommy plays is hard time killing floor blues

  • holy crap that dude in the radio is buck and bill from king of the hill

  • "all 'cept our cumpnyment'

  • at least theres one atheist in the group.

  • We ain't one at a timin....

  • too bad "tommy johnson" never played Robert Johnson tunes.,

  • @ImTheSolace1

tommy johnson isnt based on robert johnson, he's based on blues guitarist tommy johnson.

  • where's part 4?

  • were mass communicatin'!

  • Where's part 4???

  • 06:45 "only four of us can write"

    smart son of a bitch

  • One of the best directors of our time. I've loved this movie for a long time, and the music is absolutely wonderful. Way to bring about a renaissance of old time bluegrass music.

  • He says: "You boys do nego songs?" Get it right--it wasn't disrespectful at that time!

  • This movie is like watching a Faulkner novel, it's awesome.

  • @MrNobodysPinealGland

Well, it basically IS watching a Homer epic poem. I'm not too familiar with Faulkner but I remember reading a little bit of "As I Lay Dying" and you're actually right now that I think about it. Interesting.

  • in reality it was hank williams senior who sang the song man of constant sorrow

  • seems george finally got affiliated, so i guess that makes it two and two.

  • "Guess I'm the only one who remains unaffiliated." XD

  • What a classic scene. The Crossroads where the devil roams to teach men to be guitar shredders.

    O_o

  • whats the song the black guys is playing and singing at the end?

  • @sas103 Hard Times Killing Floor Blues

  • Did you happen to se your Census 2010 form? It says for race "Black, African-American or Negro"? How is that for respect and equality?

  • I Love this movie so funny!! 1:38-1:48 Is one of my favorite parts.

"These 2 soggy sonsabitches are Pete and Delmer." haha I love that line.

  • the story of this movie is related to the story of the odyssey. which explains the name

  • I never noticed before that "Pappy" O'Daniels' real name is Menelaus - another character from the Odyssey.

  • Thanks Gigsixstring....

  • @666Selck666 its not Gigsixstring

  • ya dumb cracker lol wicked funny

  • I met the colored guy today he played at my school!!!!

  • Hey, guys, I just uploaded the whole movie O Brother, Where Art Thou in 10 parts. it`s on my channel. check out and enjoy!

  • 7:45......Now THATS...a jam!!!

  • "Thank God yer' mammy died givin' birth. Sheed' a seen ya sheed a died of shame".

  • y is there no part 4? um if ur gonna put up the movie it wouldve been nice if u did the whole thing

  • i guess if he had put the whole movie up it would have been deleted after a week

  • I don't believe he says Nigger but Negro with a Southern accent. These days it was the same as saying African American but that seems to change every decade. I believe United States has come farther than any other country in the world in respects to racial equality though I think we still have some work to do.

  • "nigra" was a more polite way of saying black, but he also said nigger in the clip. he used both

  • @666Selck666 He says Negra and Nigger. For some reason it's ok for blacks (or whatever the latest politically correct Jesse Jackson ass word for Negro is..) to call each other N.... And the story of Jesse Johnson is true. He sold his soul at a intersection for music. This version may be gussied up a bit.....

  • @IExposeMormonism yea the world is stupid now blacks can call themselfs niggers but when white people say it is racisem

  • @IExposeMormonism

It's Robert Johnson. He invented the blues and always said the hell hounds were on his tail. Know your shit before you spout at the mouth.

  • @brooklyn0914 excuse my typo. He did die an unhappy death. Not one worth trading your soul for.

  • @666Selck666 he says nigger and negro

  • @666Selck666 we made a bit of progress, but we're starting all over again with gay rights. soon hopefully every man, woman, and child will have equal rights. no one can help how theyre born, whether theyre black white gay mexican arab...it doesnt matter. everyone should be treated exactly the same. maybe one day... =(

  • @CitySkateboards

yeah. the prop 8 thing REALLY pissed me off.

the point of america is to be free and give that freedom to the citizens.

if you think about it america was one of the easir places to live if you were gay without any racial commets or negitivity from the public. Mabey the goverment can pull their head out sometime and relize what america stands for.

  • @666Selck666 - I just call 'em blacks.

  • @666Selck666 Canada? Idiot......

  • @666Selck666 This country has A LOT of work to do. We suck. *shot*

  • @666Selck666

America has certainly come far. But what about South Africa? Especially in the last twenty years since the overthrow of the National Party?

  • @666Selck666 just goes to show that the intention behind the words are more important than the word itself. i can say african american with contempt or i could say negro with no contempt whatsoever. context is extremely important. glad you pointed that out

  • @666Selck666

     a.k.a "niggra

  • @666Selck666 ah, i think thats true if you say to the amount of change but compared to other countries the equality is far worse

  • @GuruJudge21 If by far worse you mean that a man with equal qualifications to a white man of the same skill level will 99.9% of the time get a job over said white man solely on basis of the color of his skin then yes, Affirmative Action has made America a very racially unequal place to live in.

  • @666Selck666 lol

  • @666Selck666 very well put and i agree, even if some people on the far left and far right don't

  • @666Selck666 He says Nigger. Sorry.

  • @unkieted he says both.

the first time he says "you boys do negro songs?", then he says "well i dont record nigger songs"

  • @unkieted Nothing to be sorry about ...It's a movie depicting the truth.

Most white people were ignorant back then.

    Things do change and progress.

  • you boys play nigger songs!!??

  • Damn, ribs are hurting after he called delmar a dumb cracker with that accent plus hes old lmao

  • "we aint one timing it here, were mass communicatin" hahahahha

  • Than buy the movie!! Or at least go to a library and see if you can get it for free!

  • Aint u gunna presh the flesh pappy? a lil politican? LMAO!
