You know sometimes I forget about these guys. My husband gets deployed to Afghanistan and I'm all "support our troops". I think we should support these guys just as much as we support our troops. They are away from family for a long time, and its very dangerous up there. They are risking their lives for the world, not just for the country. I appreciate them!! <3
this looks awesome but i dont know if i could spend six months up there at a time, looks too cramped to be able to handle living up there for that long.
It's great to see that up in the space station, people from different countries can work well together, and they know each other's languages which makes it even easier. Like when he's getting his haircut and they're talking to each other in Russian.
See, I knew I liked this guy, but then he showed his Yankees hat, and it's INSTANT LOVE ahah. Ohh man. Wish I was good at math so I could go up in space ;-)
@3popcan I would strongly advise against doing that. The resulting shock waves will travel the length of the station giving rise to a sonic boom telling everyone that you cut a fart.
@3popcan Yeah, I think so. Because when you're in space the slightest movement will send you in that direction until you hit something. But since the ISS moves, you might get thrown a little bit off of your straight trajectory.
@KubaAXE Anyone anywhere can apply... odds are terrible. If you wanna increase your odds, make sure you have a bachelors degree or higher in some scientific practice, and perhaps that you have withheld an engineering job for some time and have adequate space related knowledge. Also that you are intelligent, very fit, good looking... then if you are accepted you go through rigorous training that simulates the ISS and space. Also if you want to pilot a shuttle you have to have pilot experience
I'm going to pursue a degree in aerospace engineering in college, and I hope that as I progress through the years I will engineer for NASA and maybe eventually apply for the space program... aahhh the future. Only 15 now though... I gotta sleep.
@KINGASH1ST its cause they need to scan everything they eat so the people on earth know exactly how many calories and nutrients they have on earth they even needa do it with water
heyy garrett its one of the students from central middles school.. thanks for visiting and i didnt get a chance to ask you a question because there were alot people who wants to ask you... my question is that WHO INSPIRED YOU TO BE AN ASTRANAUT?... THank you
Hey Garrett! Thanks for uploading these videos. Your job is extremely cool, I originally wanted to be an astronaut (I'm too tall now at 6'4, oh well) but it warms my heart to see what it's like from you guys' perspective. It's just as good as being up there. :) Hopefully I still will get to go up some day.
this is cool, except for one thing, hes a Yankees fan...........

@yesiamawizardjonny Wouldn't you inherit the ISS's own velocity before you move?
