  • theres so much helpful learning dr is sharing with us. i'm still learning

  • Read "The China Study" by T. Collin Campbell -- very similar and supportive.

  • Unbelievable. I've been a Paleo Diet follower for about a year, and have felt better. But this is incredible.

  • @velkom Animals do think. Most types of pets have dreams, which proves that they think. In regards to your erroneous claim that human digestion is more similar to carnivors, see, "A Diet For All Reasons". We are actually more similar to herbavors.

  • This was great, BUT, Ann Boroch did the same exact thing, a few years ago.

  • Fish oil, creatine, and co-enzyme Q.... I WANT some!!

  • To understand humane slaughter, see the movie or read the book "Temple Grandin.." Great movie about the subject and about Temple Grandin. Never heard of her, did you? She has influenced the majority of slaughter houses in our country........She has several Master's Degrees in this area and as a child was diagnosed with Autism.

  • I'd never mentioned anything about food ready

  • read her statement she says it cure ms!!!!

  • I gotta love you all you idiots out there think I'm angry frankly I don't give a shit I don't believe a fucking word that's so called doctor says about a diet to cure ms she is full of shit and you guys are all stupid to believe it that is my opinion and if a diet could cure ms we all be cured already come on people

  • @RAM121264 have you tried her diet? She has presented medical trials at medical conferences; look it up.Not many people are willing to try a protocol that doesn't contain taking a pill - that's easy, changing your lifestyle is hard. I personally put my Primary Bilary Cirrhosis (an autoimmune disease unrelated to alcohol abuse) into decline using a very similar diet. Our beautiful bodies WANT to be well, all we have to do is eat clean. I challenge you to try it for a month, and THEN post.

  • @RAM121264 You do not know very much about life do you Ram? I have seen a person that was diabetic for years, and hooked up to a tank with sores and purple feet and legs, hardly able to get out of a chair anymore change her diet, cut out all sugars and processed foods, and a year later mowing the grass with a push mower, and planting a garden, free of diabetes.

  • Used to be overweight. Started a diet primarily of lean protein and good fats sources. and cut down the carbs. Lost 20lbs. Go to google and look up "marks daily apple" and take a look

  • I don't know why you guys are hating..

She just says that eating this way has a lot of benefits. She's not telling you to eat the way she does but it is our choice in the end.

Most of us eat whatever we want but also, most of us get out of control when it comes to unhealthy food or buying processed food without having any knowledge and suffer the consequences in the end.

This video just tells us that we should be aware of what we eat. and her suggestions are definitely not wrong at all.

  • sure diet is good sure vitamins are good but too much of a good thing is no good now you are leading a lot of people with ms into the false thought of a with your so called diet plan which is the biggest bs I've ever seen. if this was so true don't you think that doctors would of cared ms by now???? You have everybody in this ms support group taken that they can take your diet and the ms will disappear.

  • @RAM121264 hhhmmm.. a good diet means healthier people... and hence less customers, i mean patients.... less need for doctors... plus, people (patients) do not believe the benefits of good nutritious food but value medication on a higher level.... it's just what our society has become...

  • @RAM121264 Your agenda helps no one.

  • are you another 1 of those people that believe toxins and pollution in the air inviroment is giving you ms you people are really

  • come on woman are you gonna try to tell me by using this diet you can cure MS I don't buy it if that was the case everybody would be cured of MS by now

  • @RAM121264 The food/medical/drug industries make their fortunes on ignorant people. They are not helping MS. Why is she wrong for taking personal responsibility for her own health and sharing her results?

I took all dairy, eggs, bread/grain/gluten, soy, legumes, processed foods out of my diet. I eat only: organic >> veggies, fruits, fish, poultry, meat << only organic.

It is helping me immensely. Nothing else did. Why does that make you so angry?

  • @1darcylu when i did most of that - i rid myself of debilitating sinus migraines. never felt better!

  • Another so-called for sure cure for MS (have we already forgot the empty claims by Dr Zamboni)). Dorothy we are still in Kansas, there is no cure for MS despite wishful thinking. Dr Wahls cure, probably just a very long remittance . Sure a well balanced diet is good for anybody. In my opinion any fanatical diet just fuels the preoccupation with disease. Better yet, to continue living a balanced and full life with MS instead of thinking about it all the time I know, I live with progressive MS

  • Comment removed

  • @dannoms I believe its the toxins in our enviorment and the food were eating that is causing so many diseases. Oh.. Lets not forget the good ole unatural meds. Unatural things shouldnt be put into a natural body.. Just my thoughts..

  • You made the generalization that runners who eat meat have sickly skin, which is ridiculas causal suposition BTW. and I pointed out a fact that long distance work in general makes people look years older. Science is on my side but even antidoctally just look at the faces of the top female finsihers at an Ironman

  • Red meat is bad for you, if you dont know this by now your fucking retarded, I eat red meat all the time, its a tough habit to break, especially when thats what you we're primarily raised on, and it is what the majority of western society eats.

  • Take a look at The China Study, doctor. Check out the studies that Dr John McDougall has done on MS. You will find that the meat will give you heart disease and do nothing for your MS.

  • The voice of reason in the middle of a convenience obsessed world. I will certainly be looking into this for my autoimmune problems. Energy is one thing I cannot take for granted.

  • Amen Sister! And how many people out there that have similar stories about health issues that are just as serious as this and had amazing healing by changing their diet! We need more doctors out there with this mindset and knowledge!

Funny how she said top Doctors didn't know how to help her - she had to turn to the internet!!!!

  • I think @0rtex is doing the correct thing. He/She is not outright refuting the claims, just questioning them. I don't see a problem with that, in fact, it would probably help a lot of people of they questioned the source of the information they are receiving. I do not doubt this ladies claims, and I'm glad to see the proof in her health. The claims she makes are completely logical, but I wouldn't get so uppety on one person for questioning the validity of her claims.

  • Lots of information here. I recently have been eating healthier and I hope to incorporate this into my daily diet. My goal is to get healthier..loose weight and eat better and if it helps my MS too than thats just wonderful! We eat too much processed food, meat and junk these days and don't even think about it. This story inspires me even more!

  • I know how hard it is to do this I have found juicing and Sisel Products to help me get all these wonderful nutrients.

  • This is amazing. Thank you!

  • Food is the best medicine. (Hippocrates)... funny how MD/DO schools don't necessarily follow the father of medicine anymore, no biochemical nutrition courses whatsoever.

  • Fantastic, inspiring story. Helps notably in defining why we should derive most of our calories from the stuff that we all know we should be eating.

  • Thank you for posting this. Thank you Bita for sending this to me and thank you to the rats and mice who are used to change the world medically. I know they're only rodents but they have helped this world so much. You are a hero and I thank you for sharing your expirience with us. - Love, Bonnie

  • where can I find the findings of the study?

  • I've passed this on to my friend with MS. Marguerite McDonald began keeping a "visual journal" of living with MS for 15 years. I've been writing poetry in response to her amazing paintings. Our project is called "Snow on the Brain". We're having our debut show in Boston opening the VSA Boston on March 19. Marylou DiPietro find us on Kickstarter and utube

  • I meant to say * my doctor noticed the following,

  • (cont.) My vascularity became noticeable after practices and during physical activity at work. Then it was really popping out during work/practice and noticeable even at rest. My libido was noticeably improved. My "unit" was singing with warrior spirit!

My doctor can verify this because she noticed and charted all her numbers. I have pictures too. When I started 5'10", 182lbs 10-12% body fat. After 2 months eating this clean pure food changing nothing else. 5'10", 164lbs @ 6% body fat.

    I thou

  • When I started I felt a little down for a day or two. Shortly after I first noticed my mood was more consistent and happier. Then my recovery from practice was much better. Lasting aches and pains went away and athletic movement became more in tune and faster with better flexibility. I described it as whole body inflammation. I had stopped suffering from depression/anxiety and experienced a calm I would describe as euphoric (probably normal for others). My vascularity became noticeable after pr

  • I have a family history of depression, anxiety and narcolepsy. I suffer from depression/anxiety. I followed a strikingly similar diet for 3 months last year, until work consumed me and I broke for the convenience of unhealthier non-whole foods. I am still benefiting from last years diet and I have started it again. Last year I was 33, 5'10", 182lbs @ 12-15% body fat and attended Judo and JiuJitsu practice totaling 10-12 hours a week and have for several years...

When I started this diet I didn

  • Excellent! I will be adding kale to my diet. :)

  • Wonderful. Absolutely amazing!

  • Stop complaining about the cost of organic, start replacing the junk foods you eat with organic foods and you will instantly realize you feel so much better.. at roughly the same price. It is the supplements that are pricey. Keep an eye out for specials, reduced items, and whats in season.

  • I love it!

  • sulfur is found mostly in meat

  • @Doma111222333 What about onions?

  • Great info but investigate Rick Simpson's hemp oil too!

  • People need to get over this meat/fat phobia. Meat tastes good and is highly nutritious. It's the optimal fuel for our bodies.

  • @superangrybrit I dont believe people who do not eat meat or fats are afraid of them. Actually they just find themselves feeling and looking better without them- Quite like myself. Optimal fuel for our body is sugar. Not processed sugar (found in most junk food), but the natural sugars found in fresh produce like fruits.

  • @kellydoych Actually, optimal fuel for our body can be fat, and we will produce the necessary amount of glucose that we need in the liver, through a process called gluconeogensis. In a highly restricted carbohydrate diet, our Krebs cycle can easily run on ketones, and our heart actually prefers them for fuel over glucose. By entering ketosis or just restricting carbohydrates you will burn much more body fat and build muscle because you radically reduce insulin, and stimulate growth hormone.

  • @kellydoych In nature wherever you get sugar from fruits and vegetables, there is usually lots of fiber too. A coke has no fiber.

  • @superangrybrit What meat are you talking about? Chicken, Which has arsenic added to their feed supply, animals that are drugged up, or farm raised fish from Asia that are raised in lagoons that are so filthy that the fish would die, if they did not have penicillin added to their food?

  • @jehoch2 Then choose your poison. Veggies are GMO hybrids or are grown in filthy conditions using manure from those same animals you mentioned above. They may have also been covered with pesticides and other poisons which render them inedible. Even the certified 'organic' vegetables have no checks and balances and further use untested 'natural' pesticides which could be worse than those poisons they already use.

  • @newguitarist29 Yes I will choose the vegies that are grown in manure any day over the ones that have synthetic fertilizer sprayed. How am I supposed to feel like a real human if I eat fake food. The only issue with raising veggies in manure though is, where did the manure come from? If it came from a Farm that throws arsenic into the animal or bird feed, then, the plants can have a high arsenic content in them.

  • @jehoch2 Um, did you LISTEN to the video? She did not mention ANY of the food you stated. Organic or home-grown vegetables, grass-fed meat (the animals are NOT fed grain diets), WILD caught salmon and herring. Studies support that grass-fed meat (one serving is only 3 ounces) do NOT contribute to heart disease. And yes, buying food raised this way, IS more expensive, it takes effort to raise a garden or buy fresh. Check out eatwild, com for information on where to buy where you live.

  • @superangrybrit Meat may be good, however, there is one thing that sticks to my mind. Vegetarians always have better looking skin. Vegetarian runners average about ten percent faster speeds than others, and vegetarians live on average about ten percent longer. I understand that vegetarian is not the answer for everybody. I am a runner, and will run about twenty miles per day. The problem that I have if I eat too much meats is acid reflux, and low energy, and achy muscles.

  • @jehoch2 Most long distance runners I see have a sickly look in general. Lacking muscle mass and having prematurey aged faces.

  • @JRT140 You are talking about runners that carb load and also take lots of caffeine all the time. This will age anybody. Running itself is antiinflamatory. Carbohydrates caffeines and supplements are not natural in anybody's diet. Group running seems to have negative aging benefits too beings you are not listening to your body telling you what to do. More short fast runs have the best antiaging and antiinflamatory effects. At 35 I have many people ask me if I am a student.

  • @superangrybrit Yep, it tastes great but it is far from optimal.

  • On the one hand, I'm really happy that some doctors are finally getting the message that good nutrition matters more than drugs and procedures.

On the other hand, it's really depressing that she practiced medicine for decades and never questioned her beliefs, no matter how many of her patients died. It was only when it affected HER, personally, that she thought "Oh, maybe this isn't actually working".

  • All the people I know with MS were BIG time meat eaters.

  • @durianriders they were eating meats from cows raised in confined factory farms full of antibiotics and hormones who were fed grains, not grass fed and roaming. There is a big difference between the two. One will make you sick while the other will keep you healthy. Red meat is not bad for you, it is the quality of the meat that matters.

  • @naturalneda People have used the Dr.McDougall diet to help cure their MS. Meat is not bad for you? So let me get this straight a heart patient goes to a doctor and the doctor asks him about his diet( the content of patients diet is irrelevant) and the doctor tells him, well I don't think you are eating enough red meat, you need good quality red meat if you want to reverse heart disease. Do you really see that happening?

  • @naturalneda Is it not a bit short cited to say meat is not bad for you as if you are the only one in the equation. What about the animal? Is you killing the animal to eat it good for the animal? How is taking an animals life to sustain yours justifiable when you can live on plant foods?

  • @ElizarTringov If you look at nature, a meat eater does not feel sorry for his prey - it has to eat it, and if you feed it vegtables, it will die. We are an advanced version of the same. There is nothing wrong in eating meat - its done in nature at all times.

But if you really are gonna say to eat plants - then with your logic, why eat plants? how dare you say plants dont have feelings? Scientifically its proven that plants can feel - so you should just starve to death then... yeah great logic

  • @wordpresshostinguk Point me to the studies that show plants have feelings. Plus it doesn't make sense that you would eat meat to get nutrients, when animals eat plants to get nutrients. If humans are so advanced how come we cannot even meet the basics of housing and feeding our whole population, sure we are smart and inventive and can create a few gadgets but at the end of the day if you can't meet the basics of a population you are not any more advanced than an animal.

  • @ElizarTringov

animals that eat only plants, have different digestive systems to humans;humans have eaten meat throughout recorded history...good enough for me..

  • @wordpresshostinguk Even if plants could feel it is a question of sentience. An animal is definitely more sentient than a plant, not only that for certain foods such as fruits you don't even have to kill the plant or destroy the seed to eat them. Also how would you know how a plant "feels" when it is being slaughtered? While we were given the senses to see how an animal feels when it is being slaughtered, we simply don't have any way of knowing how plants "feel" when they are slaughtered.

  • @ElizarTringov

animals, like plants, are living but not capable of reason/thinking;both animals and plants have been used for human nutrition for millenia;yes, animals are sentient/can feel pain and I abhor animal cruelty, however, slaughter can be done humanely..

  • @velkom How can slaughter be done humanely? What does it even mean to slaughter humanely?

  • @velkom absolutely imperial ignorant comment. ever have a dog save your life? no reasoning? you are definitely smoking something.

  • Excellent information!!! Very inspiring. Wish I new this stuff 40 years ago. I've been the canary in the coal mine, too, from chronic illness until I changed my diet in similar ways to those mentioned in this video. Though I don't eat nine cups of fruits and veggies a day. I've cut out gluten, dairy, sugar and any junk and make everything (just about) from scratch. Thanks. Have you been on TV to tell your story? Or a book? People need to know this.

  • Great.

If the diet really helps people with MS, then it should be straightforward to do a controlled study of its effects. I would really like to see the results of such a study.

I see that Terry Wahls is selling books and seminars on her website. I worry that she, like many others, is just trying to sell a nice story about her particular experience. MS is a frightening and highly variable disease, and we really need to be empirically-minded when considering treatment for it.

  • @0rtex If you continue to look at her website, you will also see that she *is* doing controlled studies of this diet. Unfortunately, getting approval and funding for any type of medical study is time consuming and expensive, so it will be some time before a large enough study is done to "prove" these results to a medical community. By the way, the majority of her profits from the books & seminars go back into funding the studies she is working on.

  • @0rtex She IS doing the scientific study to be presented before peers. But it would be stupid to deny the experiential evidence that many are already having happen just to wait for a 'study'. It also makes total rational sense without a 'study'. Bodies on earth need to eat and need the best foods without human invention or over-processing. Why in the world would anyone think they can improve on what naturally grows? Human meddling always falls short.

  • Its time for people to wake up to the EQ......Screw the sickness industry is a trillion dollar biz.

Wellness and science can be parters in healing...

  • I don't think Dr. Terry Wahls even had the best diet. But this video does show you how preprogrammed our bodies are to cleanse and to heal if we even start to move in the right direction.

  • Please see the links on my channel, also.

    Love and peace

  • Inuits suffer from one of the highest osteoporosis rates in the world. The Masai suffer from cardio-vascular disease, arthritis and osteoporosis (particularly the males). They also have a life expectancy of around 50 even after accounting for infant mortality.

    .

  • @natureasintended Contemporary Inuits and Masai aren't living purely traditional lives any more. Alcohol is a big issue with Inuits. Spiritually, I prefer vegan raw food. I prefer that nothing die so that I can walk...including the wonderful bees that helped for 4 years. I also prefer to listen to my body. Perhaps it's the B12 but a small amount of grass-fed meat, especially liver, makes my body stronger. Some body's do well with only vegetables and fruits, some don't.

  • This is wonderful! I'm in awe of your healing.

Please study many of 'Durianriders' videos for even better health and environmental information.

Also raw food health dot net for interest in specific nutrients

  • food is awesome

  • It amazes me that people have never learned this. Until I go to the grocery store and see what people are buying. Why isn't basic nutrition like this taught in schools? It takes someone having to go through the pain of MS and healing it with food to make the difference...wow

  • Very thought-provoking, doable advice

  • Wow, can i do it? Do I have the fortitude to commit to such a radical yet simple dietary change, we'll see, probably not. sad

  • @smawrld Dr. Ben Fuchs(Bright Side Ben) says don't try "cold turkey", just incorporate, incrementally, more whole foods. Maybe you might pick up some berries and substitute them for one sweet craving in the day, etc. If you just do one thing different in your day, you might find the slippery slope starts tilting the other direction naturally.

  • excellent

  • YEAH CREATINE

  • WELP...time to go buy some kale then...

  • to long. my mother wanted me to watch it and tell my grandma since she has ms. but my grandma does not have it like she does

  • awesome talk! straight to the point! Great to hear that there are now clinical trials being done with this new way of eating! Can we also see more of this w/other disease research!??

  • Wonderful, clear, clinically spot on and inspiring!

  • Thank you so.... very much Dr. Wahls for making this video. It is very encouraging. My sister has MS as well as at least 4 other relatives in my family. I will pass this on.

    Again Thank YOU

  • You are an example of what professionals are suppose to do: "Seek out solutions, not accept defeat."

  • time to eat healthy. screw processed meat

  • I expect that many previous comments pointed out the great treatment of MS for years by Dr. Roy Swank (deceased at age 99) via a low fat almost-vegetarian diet?

And Dr. John McDougall's Foundation continues the studies with a low-fat vegan diet?

    ----- vimeo dot com / 15787322

You do not need the animal products in your nutrition!

  • @maule5662h. Perhaps not. But where are you planning on getting b12 ? It's found only in animal products. Is supplementation the answer ? Is that natural ?

  • My father died of complications from MS when he was 56. I was diagnosed with MS two years ago at age 33. I firmly believe that diet can and does affect our health. I have changed my diet since being diagnosed and will do so even more dramatically after watching this video. Her results speak for themselves. Thanks for having the courage to share your story.

  • Thumbs up if you got here via Tim Ferriss's tweet.

  • Tim Ferriss is the Master Hunter Gatherer!

  • @rippedbodyyoga The 4-Hour Hunter Gatherer

  • Amazing, thank you! Been obsessing over nutrition to find the diet that is right to give me the most energy and avoid diseases later in life. At first, I thought avoiding meat altogether was the way, but I was starting to become a little leary of that idea and thinking that is it just all the chemicals and crap that is in most of our meat supply now. Now I think this makes a lot of sense and that's very exciting!

  • EXCELLENT!!!!!!!! THANK YOU!

  • Thank you.. I fell off the health wagon. This is what I needed to wake up and eat well!!

  • Thank you for all you information, I have had MS for 17 years and some of what you have said is what got me out of a wheel chair also. When first diagnoised I began taking Bee Pollen and tons of suplemets, and yes some of the diet needs.

But there is one thing that you did not touch apon and that is a great type of stress relief, that is one thing that is very critical also. One must have to say I have this disease but it does not have me, and to continue a fight that we all share.

  • Such a powerful statement. I Posted this on blog a few weeks ago. Very important information and experieece from a doctor with MS to share.

  • Comment removed

  • So, great!!! Now we know what we already knew for years, eating right = healthy (and i love this video, just saying...) what do we do now that we have GMO veg and meat everywhere, unlabeled and unlisted (by law)... 90 days of testing to Monsanto, on a rat, to them = deep research. They have no idea how this food will affect in long term, and we are all guinea pigs. Go Organic, grow your own, stay healthy, don't rely on corporations to feed you. Have a great day everyone!

  • @nancyanny What is your point? Who are they? Why do you believe in conspiracy theory? I am not saying your wrong I am simply curious about your statement.

  • It had to be the black family..

  • I help many patients with MS...the first thing to consider is removal of all mercury amalgams and all root canals...see a biological dentist for this...and there are not many. See Hal Huggins website for more information. See the Thrive documentary for a global perspective on ALL chronic illnesses. Peace!

  • ...I KNEW IT!!!

  • Eating like this put my multiple myeloma into remission.

  • THIS IS WHAT I HAVE BELIEVED MY WHOLE LIFE... I Am so grateful to you Dr Wahls. This PALEO DIET IS THE BEGINNING FOR ME TO START OVER AGAIN...FINALLY Living and Eating so I may become FUNCTIONAL PHYSICALLY MENTALLY EMOTIONALLY AND FOR ME SPIRITUALLY AS WELL... I have gone through SO MANY DIAGNOSIS OF DEBILITATING ILLNESSES... FAILED TREATMENTS.. MINIMAL RESULTS...

RESULTS DON'T LIE... YOUR SACRIFICE AND WILLINGNESS TO PUT YOUR OWN LIFE ON THE LINE TELLS ME LOUD AND CLEAR THAT YOU WANT TO BLES

  • @MakeshaAmericaNoel Your caps are on.

  • @MakeshaAmericaNoel It is really annoying to read, or even see the letters in all caps. I can understand when I child does something like that but you should really feel ashamed. It does not make a statement like you might believe, it actually detracts from any message you might have to share and possibly help others. Instead of attracting readers you make it impossible to even look at the screen. Something to think about.

  • Stuff like this gets me excited...if everyone would realize that doctors are not educated in nutrition...and that mainstream America is lobbied and supported by BIG business and BIG pharma so it is not in their interest to educate people. I have been on the hunter/gatherer diet, have lost weight and have been healed of my sugar/carb addiction ....Thank you, thank you, thank you

  • Amazing! I'm starting today.

  • Astounding. I am starting tomorrow.

  • This is fantastic!

  • Hello Dr. Wahl:) I love ur video and I was wondering if there was way u could send me ur videos to my email so I could burn them to a CD and play them at our health store, it would be greatly appreciated and I'm sure very educational for the customers:)

    Sincerely, Giselle.

  • so believe in this principle ! fabulous thank you :)

  • have M.S. and was diagnosed as such in early 2003. I have used all the medicines (including the CellCept she refers to) that were tried on me, but none of them kept me from getting worse. Thanks to her video I started on the Paleo Diet in mid-January 2012 and I believe I'll be walking without a cane by the end of March 2012. Thank you Dr. Terry Wahls and Loren Cordain, PhD, who wrote the book: The Paleo Diet: Lose Weight and Get Healthy by Eating the Foods You Were Designed to Eat.

  • @doobs222 I pray that you are walking by or before March. It would be awesome of you to come back here and post an update. I am sure all of the readers and viewers would love to hear how you are doing and it will give her theory greater support. Either way god luck and best wishes.

  • I see 40 big pharma supporters thumbing their opinion. Ha!

  • Comment removed

  • Good stuff. Have to say, there are not a lot of sea weed stores around here.

  • Dont wait to get sick before you need to change your diet... do it now

  • What a great video. The writing is clear as day... she came back from MS just through diet.... does anyone really need any more convincing??? Look at how healthy she looks while giving the talk. All through diet. I am a modern day hunter gatherer. I hope anyone reading this who is not will do some research into the matter.... if you are not science minded check out marks daily apple website, if you like science a lot check out perfect health diet website.... the option is yours as she said.

  • @MrAriDave yeah i need more convincing. This isn't solid scientific data; it's a singular experience .

  • @lockwoodisafaggot I understand your concern... and I had the same concern. I got over it by taking the plunge and experimenting on myself. That's really the only way I think...

  • Wow, cannabis works in the same fashion.... exactly!!

  • Great Video, thanks for sharing!

    Innate/Paleo = 21st century healthcare!

  • Amazing story about a healthy lifestyle! Really appreciate this video and your life!

On a lighter note, our freewill is a slave to our mitochondria!

  • I am deeply grateful for the kind of work Dr. Terry Wahls has done and her warrior passiong to teach the public of the importance of a health diet not only to heal from MS and other degenerative illnesses but also to stay healthy and strong. Thank you, Dr. Wahls. and thanking for posting this video so that I can share with everyone I know.

  • great video! I have been looking into alternative health for 25+ years and what I found out is more or less what she says in the video. that's really how the body works and everyone should watch her speech and read what she writes! not just people who have MS or people who are ill... anyone needs to know, because that kind of knowledge protects you from all kinds of diseases and in general from degeneration. Thanks for posting. And thanks Dr. Wahls!

  • Inspirational, Thank you so much!

  • I make bone soup. Google it. 24 hours of slow cooking and an amazing amount of minerals and nutrients come out of those bones. Great for my skin too!

  • I want you to eat BEEEEAAAR veg.

  • On a serious note, these diet gurus never discuss the most critical factor for many; namely, that not everyone has the time and money to eat this way.

  • @NevTheDeranged - People make choices on what they spend their time and money on. Some spend it on gasoline, prescription medications, and big screen televisions. Others spend a fraction of this buying local organic produce, bicycles, and home gardens. Buy produce directly from local growers and you can save a fortune - both on food and healthcare costs.

  • @NevTheDeranged that's BS. make the time, and spend your money wisely.

  • @NevTheDeranged

Bullshit. You can use a crockpot to make soup all day while you're at work. Come home, BAM, healthy dinner with leftovers for lunch/dinner again the next day. It takes a few minutes to make eggs for breakfast. Toss a bunch of vegetables together with fish on top and you have salad for lunch. You have plenty of time.

Eating shit food will fuck your health up, resulting in medical bills. Guarantee those bills cost more in the long run than healthy food does now. There is no excuse

  • @mike657765 THIS!

  • The echthroi are Xing your farandolae!

(sorry, sorry, couldn't help myself >_<)

  • @NevTheDeranged I love that book!

  • Yeah its the Dems fault. LOL. Keep blaming everyone else. That will make you live longer.

  • @DozaArchives Did you read? I said Obama made it worse. Worse means that it was bad already. I also said personal responsibility is the best health care. You don't fix a problem by blaming others, as you said. So, we don' need phony "health care" do we? You should know by now that Mercola is against overreaching government regulations that protects pharmaceuticals and harasses natural medicine. Glad we can agree.

  • The problem with American health care is not lack of access by the poor, but lack of personal responsibility of the individual. Your health is not going to be fixed by Obama who is bankrupting the country, but by you!

  • @Entropy56 Such Rubbish. This country has been nearly bankrupt for over a decade. Long before you ever heard the Obama name. Quit the Obama bashing and take care of your health. Sounds more like good old American racism (and I'm not American.)

  • @finalfootprint Obama care is a joke and has nothing to do with health. It is about buying votes. You don't fix a financial problem by throwing TRILLIONS of dollars into the toilet. Again, it was about buying votes. Obama made it worse! Big government is ALWAYS behind every crisis, and they use them to seize more POWER.

  • @Entropy56 Personal responsibility is fine but the system is rigged against the consumer who is bombarded with false, confusing messages. Coal companies dump mercury into the ocean and pollute fish. The seafood industry directs millions to fool people into eating contaminated fish You practically have to consult with a testing lab before you buy anything. Even consumers who try to do the responsible thing get fooled. Where is the personal responsibility of the corporate CEOs?

  • This is what Naturopathic medical doctors do everyday...Go back to the basics and treat the cause...

  • @Vegan11 - Yes, there are vegan sources of vitamin B12 BUT those are not bio-available sources of B12 - they are of almost no benefit whatsoever -- even less than a B12 shot. Sorry, you must eat meats to get bio-available B12. Sad but true. Try organic, grass-fed, compassionate-care sources -- and get down on your knees and thank the animal for its sacrifice to your health.

  • I am so willing to try this. I have tried Avonex, Betoseron, copaxonne, Solumedrol (now bone problems) IVIG (very expensive), Tysabri, CCSVI (3 times thanks to donors), Plasma Pheresis--still no slowing of this cruel disease. I have been SP since 2003. This won't have the miserable side effects of meds. I've been doing some Vit & Min in pure form but nothing quite so challenging. I just need God's help to do it! @livingrose

  • @LiberateMichelle God is with you as he is with me, good luck comes through good eating.

  • @LiberateMichelle PS......... Stay away from the DEADLY Nightshades, potatoes, tomatoes, capsicum & eggplant.

  • @pawz4ayl what?

  • eat hemp seeds for Protein and Omega Fatty Acids

  • i look at this with a big grain of salt. there are dozens (at least) of supposed "miracle" cures for MS. replacing mercury fillings, bee stings, super low fat diet - MS is different for everyone, and i do not believe there is one cure that applies to everyone. BUT - tho i am skeptical, this sounds interesting and deserves to be looked at further.
