Can someone help me with this, I'll be really grateful. So, I have a macbook pro. I need it for my works so I had to buy it. However, it sucks for almost anything else (like gaming and stuff). So how can I play Touhou (especially Hisoutensoku) on Mac OS X when I'd rather not bother with bootcamp or parallel. Any advices would be appreciated. Thanks

@theohmightyniffum Any software the mac has, I'm sure the pc has with the capacity to do the same freaking thing. Maybe differently, under a different name~ but it's always been this way. Mac users for productivity always ran to stuff like Performer and Pro Tools for years, still do~ but they act like music was not being made on PC or being made on PC as we speak with software as good if not better in almost every genre. There's preference and blind loyalty, and with mac it's usually the latter.

@strikerk you see, I have to use one because of school, we use Final Cut and we partly get graded on how we use it. Trust me if I had a choice I would've picked PC but I used also be a stuck windows user that would never touch a Mac till I had to and i was presently surprised and even though I paid probably double for this than what I would have for a PC i don't really regret it.

I use Wine, a program that lets you use .exe files as if you were using Windows, it's great but doesn't work on that much.

That said, no game is ever optimized for Mac, but Touhou isn't that hardware demanding :3

Mac: to put a picture into a podcast I made once, I had to download the picture, manually input the header, import it into iphoto, flag it, then put it in the podcast.

When I finished, I had to export my podcast to my disk, and manually drag it into quicktime just to watch the bloody thing.

Windows: Oh, I just downloaded a pic of the net and just pasted it in there and sent it to media player so I could just check if it went ok.

Another price point, Mac's are waaay more expensive than Pc's If you were to spend the same amount of money on a Pc that you would spend on a Mac, well, 0:10, the Pc becomes able to do this. Honestly, they should do a Mac vs Pc commercial where the Pc spends on Pc upgrades what it would cost to buy Mac, and Pc turns into Chuck Norris.
