2 - Get some crashmats or rubber flooring if they're concerned about clanking weights and damage. I'm 160 lbs - treetrunk legs, well toned arms and a bit of cute fat around my mid section (lol) and even I can deadlift 250 lbs so I don't see why it should be banned altogether when crashmats under the weights would do the job just fine.

I'm British, so never been to this Gym, but I can suggest a couple of improvements to the gym. 1 - REMOVE THE DAMN LUNK ALARM!! Whoever thought of covering an annoying noise with an even more annoying one is an idiot. If I went in there I'd be tempted to make a noise like an air raid siren while lifting heavy weights just to prove a point. Besides it's not fair to embarrass the poor fat man who bends down to tie his shoelace....
