Looks good but I will say this. You cant have that borderlands/fallout feel without an RPG play. If I wanted to play another fps.......i would. Customization is no substitution for character development

@Jaws1009 Really? Because this looks and seems to play almost identical to Borderlands. Which came in on the heels of Fallout promising similar play, and leveling systems. So if this is not going for a Fallout feel, and correct me if i'm wrong, but Rage is going for a fps with customization and leveling of attributes and weapons, and a cell shaded mileu similar to borderlands with vehicles(also introduced in borderlands), but ID definately isn't trying to cash-in on these same themes?

Um... good video, but I'm pretty sure the company ID is pronounced "eye dee" and not "id." At least every other game review for the company has said "eye dee," or I.D., not "id"... unless the company changed hands or something.

@TheOneManBanned Based on the fact that "id Software" doesn't capitalize the "id", I'd say it's definitely not pronounced I.D. Especially when you look at the other games they've come out with which have much darker atmospheres, like Doom. Look up the definition of "id" and see for yourself. If you disagree with me, that's fine too.

@AltruisticShine You're probably right, but I swear I have heard a number of reviewers say ID software, and not id. That was probably just the reviewers making the same mistake I made. I always just assumed it was ID, but id seems to be right. The doom box art does show id.

This game was supposed to be a dream, innovative and blow away everyone when they announced it. But ever since we got to know that there would be a console version, the dream was over. - It's amazing how sometimes you can feel so stupid for spending $60 on a game (which I nearly never do) and then there are others that you almost feel like you've underpaid for the product delivered. Fallout 3, GTA IV (et al), and Just Cause 2 are all games I feel I got more than $60 worth of play from. I'm thinking Rage will in that class (I just hope the ending is better than the mess that capped off Borderlands).

How does this look good graphics wise? It's so brown. Why can't anything have any color? Honestly I doubt a real nuclear apocalypse would have such lack of color. Seriously though, kind of looks like Borderlands which got pretty boring pretty quick. Can't anyone have a fresh idea for a shooter? Everyone's either doing the modern warfare or the fallout scene now, how about the new Duke Nukem doesn't suck and we actually have a character with personality again? That'd be nice.

How the fuck does this game have anything to do with Borderlands? lol, the gameplay is nowhere close - atleast not when you think about it for more than 10seconds. The graphics are far superior and the artstyle is nowhere near as cartoonish. Borderlands was a gimmick and got boring fast. RAGE atleast looks like it'll be a satisfying (even if run of the mill) shooter.
