Are you using a double angle cutting wheel on this machine? Cos if it's only a single angle, I think you're cutting the key in the wrong direction. It should be left to right or bow to tip.
My local hardware store has a machine like this, I always thought it was a fun piece of engineering to check out. Just curious, are there any limitations as to what sorts of keys you can cut? i.e. double sided keys, weird sizes, etc. Great video!
@adjicio Thanks, this machine will cut almost anything including double sided keys, even though they're a royal pain. If you wanted to cut flat steel keys, then you would need a special blade for that.
LOTS OF FUN

@jimster586
Since it has a double angle wheel would you be able to code cut keys using depth and space keys?

@MrBakerDavid Absolutely.

What are your thoughts on the Framon 2? What do you think a used one is worth?
MrLunchbox2003 4 months ago
@MrLunchbox2003 Seems like an excellent machine. As far as a price for a used one, it depends on the condition of the machine...

I'd be willing to bet that dieselducy is going to get one of these pretty soon. Very cool.

@ElevatorMan2012 Thanks, although I would bet that this isn't within dieselducy's budget as they're expensive.

Very interesting! I've never seen this done before.

@TheElevatorChannel it's also very fast and accurate.
