wow i cant believe how bad the action is in this film i thought this was the best when i was a kid i wish i didnt see this it has now wrecked my childhood lol
@VoodooMonk Alex's son got hit by a car pretty bad. Alex of course wanted to go, but the coach told him no distractions and no exceptions, that he had to choose. So naturally Alex left. It took the team asking the coach to let both Alex and Tommy back on the team.
@42Cleve :I don't think he was implying to remake it because the original was flawed in any way, at least that not why I would like to see a remake. But like you said the movie IS great and has withstood the test of time, but because it was released so long ago many people of today's generation don't know about it and haven't seen it. Remaking it would just get the word out again, they could even say "Based on the 1980s original" so people would look up this particular version and enjoy
@42Cleve : yeah no problem! Another example is Game of Thrones, started out as a book with a small cult following but now that it's a TV show everyone is buying up the books! The same thing would happen if they remade Best of the Best and it did well, everyone would want to see the original version, lol.
@GameraDragon It would definitely get people to open their minds up a bit. They'd begin to realize that most good movies today are essentially remakes of really good (or great) movies from the past.
@42Cleve : I definitely agree. Plus, it would show today's generation that you can make good (or better) movies without everything being in crappy CGI or 3D, lol.

I wish tournament fighting went back to this, how it was in the old days. You had to earn every point back then.
