can sum1 tell me how is subaru regarded as a brand comapred to their counterparts like mazda in america? better or worse. in australia the price is a lot more expensive than all the other japanese cars but in america it's relatively cheaper. wat do u think?

@hins108 subaru in america is seen in a few different ways. First, some regard it with a sort of cult following. Subaru is not mainstream, sort of a niche. Generally speaking, Subaru is better than mazda  (performance, reliability, safety). Subaru is not cheap (relatively) compared to other Japanese makes. Somewhere in the mid to high price range.

@hins108 - In Canada Subaru is not quite known for the reliability of Honda & Toyota but definitely on par with all other manufacturers. All Subarus here are AWD - so they have few competitors and that makes them popular for those driving in inclement weather. Performance is ok for the base 4cyl engine. The turbo and 6cyl make it a top performer against all the competition. They have the highest safety ratings in all crash tests. I've just bought my 4th Subaru - so I'm a little partial ! ;)

Странный получился автомобиль, по мне либо вариант с мханикой 2,5 литра, либо автомат 3,6 литра, 2,5 вариатор вообще не в кассу/ Countries received a car for me or variant mhanikoy 2.5 liter or 3.6 liter automatic, 2.5 CVT does not in cash.
