The X games never really were that great, back then or now....to a real skateboarder...but of course it's more designed for EVERYONE to watch. Not just the skater, which is a good thing in a way. Bc lets be honest, if it weren't for the Xgames, skateboarding probably wouldn't be as popular as it is today...There's pros and cons to it becoming as big as it is, but at least skate companies, and pros are making more money as they deserve today...but MAN this is wack. @Valifyy I'm sorry,i did't see the blunt. You're really wrong about the rest. That was '96 and the street/ park course were fused together. A lot of skateboarders used trannys only to have the speed and used the banks to do tricks, like in a street contest. In this video you can see only how tony hawk read the course. But i can remind you that in that year rodil jr won, a pure street skater, and tony did't even get the bronze medal. Basically tony did well only the "vert things", as always.
