  • I have been searching for the " Full Moon " CD seems like forever, help anyone. God they were great together. But so have a lot of us. God Bless

  • @lizdavis818 There's never been a CD edition - only the vinyl - which actually is a shame... I could send you the mp3 songs if you like... just message me :-)

  • @biggestkkfan Oh, that would be fantastic, I have the vinyl, but I ruined it by playing it over and over and over. Thank you so very much. You must be a great person. Thanks again.

p.s. I have been a KK fan since the 70's, he recently played (last year) in Corpus Christi, TX. I live in Port Aransas, don't ask, yes I was invited and missed it, then I retired. No more misses. Borderlord, just one of many I still have.

  • @lizdavis818 I've just sent you a message... let me know if it worked and enjoy!! I'm sorry you missed this concert last year. Kris has said only recently he wants to slow down with concerts this year or forever to get time for writing his autobiography. But he's just finished a new album with producer Don Was, and they have almost finished another album, too - I think that's great news for KK fans.

  • @lizdavis818 It seems it didn't work... For I can't see the message in my "sent" file, I've just had another try and again got this in a red box:

User lizdavis818 has enabled contact lock. You will not be able to send messages to them unless they add you as a contact." For you have the new design and I can't find where to add contacts you maybe should befriend me... I think that's the same as the contacts with the new outfit (which I do not like at all)

  • Kris Kristofferson quit drinking in '76 and has been off the bottle ever since.

  • Really love this one. Sad and beautiful :-)

  • oh this song is moving me to tears. When an African Man circumcised without a sterilizer cries friends it is really serious

  • @TheOWITI I don't get it-is there some hidden meaning????????

  • @candw87 Yah . African men do not easily cry in public. We keep pain to ourselves and only cry in the rain.

  • @TheOWITI I'm refering to your comment of three weeks ago re: circumcism

  • It's hard to watch Rita, she is so visibly sad and forelorn. Is that a scar under her eyebrow at 1:23 ?

  • @mannixisle a scar? Probably just the light or a shadow or the make-up... she is a woman... she looks to me as her decision was final... I mean, she knew how their story would end.

  • They are still friends; the reason for their divorce was that he was an addict; I don't know how it ended, I dare say Rita had enough. They have a daughter who's 29 now.

  • @4ME2give2You I think you're right. She had enough... Casey was born in 1974, she's already 37... ;-)

  • Can we all have this love store!!!

  • Nice

  • I love how he looks at her, like I love you,!!!

  • I have a hard time believing Kris was ever physically abusive - seriously?

  • @touttamoi I also can't, but ... Kris was a boozer, and probably also would do things he wouldn't have done being sober. I mean, even being aggressive to someone he loved and such strange things...

  • i can't watch this...i saw them perform when they were in love...

  • Rita's voice is heaven. so underrated.

  • I have LOVED Kris since I saw him In R I in late 70's or early 80's - those were the days....then my old landlord took me to see him in Lake Tahoe back in 83? Oh do I cherish the ground he walks on...told him I'd kiss his ass even though I liked country music..Kris is the GREATEST Artist of all time, I even named my daughter Janis, after the beloved Joplin. She's 19 now and destined to be a star!! I hope Kris is Happy - had my share of loss and drinkin but what the hell... He is The Greatist!

  • love those little tits of the Coolidge brand.

  • Brilliant. Can't stop watching it. I can remember when Why Me came out when I was around 10 (now 50). Love this guy. And hell he he is HOT! If I had a magic genie I would teleport him straight to my bedroom in South Africa.

  • who wouldnt want a divorce to end this way...I wonder if they are still friends!

  • @angiemaravilla72 I think they were having some hard time - years - with the divorce, but Kris has often said, that now he's doing fine with his ex-wives... and also all his kids are doing fine together.

  • I wish they would sing together Now Go on tour They make the best Harmony for each other I saw them at the Westbury Music Fair on Long Island I guess it was in March of 73' for my birthday and they bought the house down I would love to see them do it AGAIN! I know they could do it

  • She is an indian and he is a silver tongue devil- hot combination ;-)

  • I had an uncle and one of my grandfathers who became alcoholics and you would not recognize the otherwise sweet men when they were drunk. They hit their wives when drunk and would not even remember it later. I am glad Kris stopped drinking for good but I have to say I loved the albums they did together and was so sorry there wouldn't be more. I am glad this last marriage is a happy one. We all do make mistakes and we can indeed change for the better. He has done that very well.

  • Well only Kris and Rita really know what happened. The Rita fan will have a lesser opinion of Kris, and the Kris fan will have the lesser opinion of Rita. I guess what really matters is that they get along NOW and respect each other. They have a beautiful daughter together... and they are both great singers. Who are we to judge anyhow? We ALL make mistakes, we live, we learn, we grow.. and we become better people for it:-)

  • @TWhere1979 thanks, that was really well-said and I agree completely.

  • He had finally stopped drinking by then. I think losing his wife shocked him out of it for good. It was well known that he physically abused Rita while drunk for years. When he didn't drink, it was not a problem. By the time she went on tour, he had permanently stopped. I accept the entertainers as they are. None are perfect. Alcohol changes people when under its influence. By the time the divorce was final, he had stopped for good. I like his songwriting very much and their work together.

  • @terrilynnmerritts You're definately right with that. And it's good that this is past, and I'm sure Kris regrets any violence he might have done when drunk. Alcoholism is a serious illness and maybe the worst addiction because it's not illegal to drink. And he always said that Casey saved his life and maybe Rita helped for that, too by doing the final stroke with the divorce. I'm glad he went the right direction after that...

  • @terrilynnmerritts and, thanks for your talking... And Kris also said he wasn't no saint... but he really loved Rita. Just listen to these words, maybe you know the song?

"Looky here, who's in focus now? Hard and clear to the bone. No more fears that you'd notice now, like a tear cast in stone. And she comes from a spring to a fountain on the wings of her song. She's the king of the mountain, she's so good, Lord, and she's gone..."

  • No, it wasn't a metaphor. She finally left him-and she said this in a video interview- that he has relapsed on the drinking and one day came in drunk and hit her so hard she slammed into a wall. When Casey ran over to him to stop him from hurting her mother, he gave her a whack across the head . She ran out the door with Casey and went to her sister Priscilla and brother-in-law Booker for safety and her eyes were opened. He meant he had beaten her and caroused at night- very literal.

  • @terrilynnmerritts just think about it logically: would Rita have given her girl to a dad that would beat his family? No loving mom would have. After their divorce, Rita went on tour, and Kris stayed at home for a year to care about their daughter. No judge would have let him done this if he was violent and drunk all day anymore. You are a fan of Rita, but you should be fair to Kris. He had a big alcohol problem for 20 years, but not at that time anymore...

  • @terrilynnmerritts I was trying to re-post my previous comment but it didn't work at all... I'm still trying...

  • Okay, I found the magazine. It was People Magazine's interview with Kris on Jan 10, 1977 Vol. 7, No.1 Kris had stopped drinking at that time to try to save his marriage. He talked about the changes he was trying to make to save it. "Rita's and my relationship is starting all over. It's easier on her- I don't beat on her like a drum or stay out all night." Unfortunately he later relapsed, and Rita divorced him and got custody of their daughter Casey.

  • @terrilynnmerritts I have that article, it was mainly on. When I was reading it I didn't even think about him actually beating his wife. And I still think it's a metaphor he used. We in Germany also have some saying which would be translated "to hack someone into pieces" but in fact, we mean we say nasty and unfair words to someone, blaming them for something tey are not responsible for and such mean things. That's the way I understand his words here, not that he would really beat her...

  • @biggestkkfan ... mainly on A star - have to add that to the first sentence lol

  • Yes, I did read it myself. I was absolutely stunned to read him saying that he would get drunk and "beat on Rita like she was a drum." It was Kris himself they were interviewing and he was talking about why he wanted to stop drinking. I am not in the habit of posting things I didn't personally read and am not sure of. It was written when I was in college years ago just before they divorced. Many celebrities keep abuse private.

  • The reason they split was because he physically abused her. He admitted in one interview that he was always getting drunk and "beating Rita like she was a drum". She has a far better voice than he does. He kept saying he stopped drinking but kept restarting. Rita couldn't stand any more of his drinking and cheating. Who can blame her?

  • @terrilynnmerritts What you say is some hard charge, so I've got a question. Did you read it yourself or is it just something you've heard from others? I have read a lot of articles and interviews and everything I could find about Kris and obviously there was cheating and betraying in their marriage, probably with both of them if you listen carefully to the lyrics of the songs Kris was writing in this time (1976-1981), but I haven't read any word about physical violence or abuse...

  • @terrilynnmerritts ... I really think I would remember it if I have... There are lots of rumors and half-truths and lies out there in the world of the media, that's why I stick to what they said themselves in interviews or such. And I wanna see it in the context it was said not to understand it in a wrong way. So if you have read it yourself, maybe you can tell me what interview that was? If you haven't you shouldn't judge him just because you've heard something... or even post it for public...

  • Sorry for my ignorance but at this point had they broken up?

  • @chubbychilli They had, although they weren't divorced yet. Maybe there still was a little bit of hope by Kris, but apparently it already was over and done...

  • @biggestkkfan Thanks for your speedy reply. One more question...do we know WHY the split? They look so different with each other here than on the other live video of "Help me make it through the night". He has 8 kids from various women. He was busy!

  • @chubbychilli Well, that's not quite right. I mean, he only has kids with the women he was married to.The two oldest with his first wife Fran who still wears his name and just couldn't get used to be married to a songwriter instead the army man she had been in love with... Rita and Kris, of course it was the boozing, though Kris quit it after "A star is born" in 1976, so there should be some other ones, too- maybe that they both wanted their own carrier and couldn't care for the other's...

  • @chubbychilli ...and one reason might have been that Kris seemed not to be able to say No to some women lol ... and this playboy article with Sarah Miles after their movie The sailor who fell... might have been the top of the iceberg.

  • @biggestkkfan ... They had one girl together. And he has 5 kids with Lisa, who he's been married to since 1983...

  • Absolutely beautiful!

  • Thank you, thank you, thank you for posting this beautiful song again . I was missing it and thought I never see or hear it again. I love Rita and Kris and the, I think really thrue Perfomance in this video.

  • @charleshenry1100 You're welcome! :-)

  • The way Kris looks at Rita in this song is killer... he looks so horribly pained, and that he is trying to tell her how sorry he was for all the pain....

  • @Lisangirls319 Yep, Lisa, I think you got it... I feel the same watching them... We know, it didn't help.

  • KRIS and RITA! I still.. LOVE.. them.. together! ONE of the Greatest.. Duos.. of all times.

  • can someone tell me if that was rita in bed with kris in a star is born? if not does anyone know who that actress was?

  • @sweetcandlesisters if you mean the girl who wanted an interview lol - this wasn't Rita. Rita was in a few scenes in Billy the kid, and she was in bed with Kris in that one (watch my vid "Lover please"), but in A star is born she only was in a scene on that stage when Streisand got this award... I can't help you with the name of the actress. I can check the end credits, and if it's there, I'll let you know...

  • @sweetcandlesisters ok, found it... her character in the movie was Quentin, and Quentin was played by MARTA HEFLIN.

  • @biggestkkfan thank you so much! i realized after posting the message that there was no way it was her lol, thank you for not laughing at me :P and thank you for the info!

  • @sweetcandlesisters You're welcome! And thanks for stopping by at my channel.

  • One of my all time favorite songs...Loved them together. I cry when I watch this video. Their affection for each other was undeniable...

  • One of my all time favorite songs...Loved them together. I cry when I watch this video. Their affection for each other was undeniable...

  • Rit Coolidge has such a full, rich voice it sort of lulls you. Something strange seems to happen when he comes on stage and approaches her... it looks as though she puts out her hand and he pulls his away.

  • @mannixisle Their marriage already was over then and it was hard for them to perform together on stage, especially for Kris I'm sure ... It looks to me as if he didn't notice her hand if she really put it out to him. Kris once said, "It was one of the strangest things in the world to be getting up and singing love songs with somebody who wants to blow your brains out." He didn't want the divorce and although you can notice there still was a bond of affection between them, it was over...

  • @biggestkkfan yes, when they begin singing they both look uncomfortable. But at the end she puts her hand on his arm, they touch foreheads and smile.

  • This is almost painful to watch for me. The sadness on both their faces is so obvious, even though they sing beautifully, as always. I really wish they would perform one last time together for all of us die hard, old time fans. I love their music individually, but my favorites are their duets from the 70's. Please Kris and Rita, if you ever read this stuff, how about it?!?

  • Wow!! so real so great, memories are made of this, love it!!

  • Comment removed

  • I can see the sadness in her eyes...

  • This is absolutely beautiful.

  • This song is so hauntingly real . . . .
