This game had soul. I was playing Unreal tournament 3 yesterday and they had it all cloaked in story arc garbage with a bunch of ludicrous cheesy futuristic tech terms to the point it no longer felt like a tournament. Unreal 3 plays well but its single player experience has become a total joke similar to what happened to mortal kombat over the years.

Well I wouldn't say it was entirely bad but something certainly went wrong there. I think it was the fact that they tried to make a story out of it. It doesn't work that way for the UT series, maybe if they had done it for something like Unreal 3 or Unreal Championship 3 etc then perhaps it might've been more successful but no, not for a game like Unreal Tournament 3.
