  • What speeds are you getting out of it n r u running vxl coz if so mine probably does about the same speed as yours btw I'm running a 4000mah 11.1v lipo as well.

  • @tatianatiana Well, what you see on the radar gun is what i see when im driving, 62 mph then it blows over backwards. Its a Castle 3800kv 4 pole motor and Mamba max Pro ESC. 5000mah 40c 3s. When i 1st got this Rustler it was just a plain VXL Rustler. It did 62 mph then also, I had it geared 28/83 on 3s doing 62 mph on stock tires with the VXl system.

  • Thanks man

  • Where do you get the radar guns from

  • @tatianatiana Ebay, bushnell sportster II.

  • I'd recommend setting a flashlight or something behind that speed radar so the screen is more visible on the video.

  • @psychastria Thanks for the recommendation, half the time im trying to keep light glare off of it and the other half im trying to light it! It really needs a backlit screen.

  • this is the first time i've seen anyone else running the RPM bumper upside down, if you don't mind i've got a few tips that might help...

    1) if you flip the front body mounts you can lower the front end a little.

    2) if you mount a spoiler to the nose of the body or on the bumper you can get a little more down force but it'll cause a little drag.

    3) you can disassemble the shocks and rebuild them with spacers to make them shorter, effectively lowering the car a little.

    4) bandit body for speed...

  • @viciousroadietom Hey thanks! I already planned on putting fuel tube in the shocks, the body mount flipped i think is gonna do alot for the front, ill try it. I have a bandit body but im afraid to use it incase it flips and skids at 60+ mph the Rustler body will save the shocktowers. I will try the other ideas tho =)

  • @95666 if u put on a wheelie bar tht helps alot!!! if i didnt have a wheelie bar i wouldnt drive mine tht fast

  • That was pretty sweet. You certainly have some speed. What radar gun do you have?

  • @thedknuckles Thanks! Its a Bushnell sportster II i think it is, from ebay.$70

  • You gotta go lower. your to high, and your tires are killin ya!

  • OH! PUT WINGS ON IT! BOOM!

  • @AlbinoSpaceWolf Haha.

  • try throttle control too, cant go wrong with that

  • Respond to this video... I tried that one!

  • Dude its simple!!!!! Put some foam tires on it and get it as low as you can when you choose your new tire size.......that will get you to 88mph!! Great Scott!! LOL

  • @TheShreveport1 Haha thanks, i have lots of new things to try now.

  • haha poor body. try a longer wheely bar mabey? or lexan around the front?

  • @thewaltman2009 The body is pretty much done lol, maybe a wheely bar to start with!

  • like everyone else is sayin add weight, if it slows down that much gear it up more lol. i had mine geared 31/76 but i didnt add enough weight so i couldnt get much for speed

  • @kylea1985 I think its an aerodynamic issue, when i ease the throttle just right itll hit 62 and flip at 62 everytime, i have all kinds of different ideas now to work with thanks to you guys!

  • @95666 i had the same kind of issue. im not sure its the aerodynamics though. im sure that plays a small factor. mine is really smooth until i try to get full throttle. almost like my throttle curve has a spike at full throttle. other than using a different radio the only thing i can think of is just adding weight

  • @kylea1985 Ah yeah, I can go in on Castle link and make the throttle curve on the ESC really smooth, so many things i will change before trying this again.

  • if you took a stock bumper and turned it upside down, that might add a little more downforce up front than the rpm bumper does because it is at a greater angle.

  • @traxxasslash95 Cool! I have several stocks =)

  • Great vid, you'll soon be passing 70 im sure. On a side note, I miss rc, rcvideos, making rc videos, and hosting RC NEWS! And chatting with you on the phone, oh well, just a few more weeks and I'll be able to scratch the rc itch!

  • @RCNEWStv Thanks! For some reason 62 mph is a hell of a barrier. Cant even touch 63 with this thing its really kinda strange..Whats that saying.Absence makes the heart grow fonder? Something like that, After i quit rc for almost 2 months a while back it made me even crazier about it. So hell yeah man the addiction gets worse maybe you will start having DT's from it if your like me haha. Its been too long since we talked and your not the only one wanting to see RCNEWS again!

  • I would put Traxxas wheely bar on. I put a couble pounds of weight to the bumper. My stampede on 3 s I did a 52 mph whelly at 3/4 thottle.

  • @marlonhaines Thats crazy haha,2 pounds!?

  • @95666 yeah but it would keep the front down. How much weight to you have on know.

  • @marlonhaines Only that C battery and the FLM alum bumper + RPM bumper, maybe 10 oz, Your not the 1st person to say 24 oz or 2 pounds though. I just thought adding that much was gonna slow me way down, Ill try it though=)

  • @95666 yeah it might slow you down a little.

  • love the dust cloud at that last wreak that was cool just think it is wreaking at 40mph at 1/10th scale that is 400.mph. in real car size so go figure if a car goes 400 it would flip also lol pretty cool speed runs there put a wing on the fron that should give u some down force

  • @biggdaddy2001 Thanks man, yeah wheely bar and wing is next i guess.....

  • damn only 8 more mph to reach ur goal! try 6s lipo next time lmao. ur vids keep geting beter and better!!

  • @ExtremeMotorsRc Lol 6s, ESC is rated 4s. Thanks!

  • @95666 that would be kool tho to see how fast 6s would be.

  • @ExtremeMotorsRc I seen other vids, well over 100 mph =)

  • awesome getting closer

  • @Bocist thanks, 62 seems a hard barrier.

  • sweet! you need a traxxas wheelie bar or something to get to 70 i guess

  • @TractorKid7 lol i guess, i do still have that aluminum one from ebay for it. I forgot i had that!

  • @95666 yea haha just gotta have it really low, thats the only way i could drive my rustler on 3s

  • @TractorKid7 Ill try it.

  • nice speed man, but the sound from the roof of the car, one makes it almost hurts in the ears :-) (translator english!! )

  • @fluxful Its a painful sound! =D
