  • I'm glad someone had the good taste to chop off the rest of this vid. Bireli's solo is the only part worth seeing.

  • one of the best guitar solos of all time, Bireli is awesome, I watched this like hundres times

  • Do you know where the lick comes from Bireli plays at 0:29?

  • @lennartackermans Yes. The notes Bireli plays at 0:29 is a diminshed pattern. The chord he plays over is F# b13. And He probably thinks Gdim over it.

  • Ah i knew it was this guitar Bireli was playing, i was listening to the album on my ipod last night and never even knew it was videoed

  • Impresionante solo, de menor a mayor, super inspirado, en 1:22 entra el percusionsta y explota!!!

  • al is jealous.

  • This is exceptional - technically, he has an almost spot on technique, but the true marvel is his seemingly endless ways of going from one point of the fretboard to another. Harmonically, he's richer than both Di Meola and Coryell and imo this is his greatest achievement. Bireli is entirely self taught, cannot sight-read, hasnt had any formal jazz education and here he is, harmonically "dwarfing" the rest - he's an inspiration and a proof, than being taught the music is lesser than living it.

  • @johnjefafa - good post, he really is out there .... brilliant.

  • is every one who tries to follow this solo eventually drools or is it just me ?!

  • I think this is where he really shines in the video. Stupid cocky Al....Coryells cool though. haha

  • incredible!!

  • king bireli
