First, as some have noted, Carlin is an economist - not a scientist. EPA has lots of them because they recognize someone needs to understand economically what climate change means for the US in the long term.
Second, he obviously submitted his 'report' after the deadline for the EPA's annual report, so when they dismissed it (as they should have anyway) he could claim they 'suppressed' evidence and make a big deal out of it.
They should say "climate change" not "global warming".
Point is, we need to change our actions in order to make a difference in our planet's stability. Pressing on with environmental protection policy is a positive step which will spur on the development of sustainable energy sources. Burning fossil fuels is not the answer.

Actually the satellite data shows that there is no global warming, in fact it shows a cooling in the past few years. The IPEE reports accord a number to CO2 levels that is a product of 4 factors. they have each been on average DOUBLED from actual data! This artificially multiplies CO2 estimates by a factor of 16!!! Sea level rises have been vastly exaggerated, and current climate trends have been steady for over 300 years, we were not producing significant CO2 then!!!!

A EPA report is nothing like a scientific study or paper that is peer reviewed and conservatives act like it is. I can make a report stating anything, but it doesn't mean anything if it is not peer reviewed.

He is a senior research analyst and has been for the last 40 years. Do you know what a research analyst does? They analyze research conducted by scientists. When the UN predicts that temperature will warm and the actual temperature shows that it has cooled, how can you argue with that? You don't need to be a scientist to understand the chart of predicted temperatures vs. ACTUAL temperatures. It has been known since ancient Egypt and 2nd Century Chinese scholars that the Earth undergoes a non-aligned harmonic warming and cooling cycle with a 114 year period. Galileo discovered that this was linked to sun cycles. Well documented.
This is why in 41-42 when Nazi's invaded Russia they suffered the worst winter in 100 years.
57 years later in 1998 we reached the other extreme of the harmonic cycle. In 1993 we were looking at these cycles and made preparations for the expected increased activity over the next 5 years. After that it was known that solar activity would begin to wane and cooling would occur. The predictions were right on target and high latitude countries did indeed have grids knocked out during this phase extreme. Since 1998 just as predicted the climate has begun to cool.

This is so transparent it's laughable.
First, as some have noted, Carlin is an economist - not a scientist. EPA has lots of them because they recognize someone needs to understand economically what climate change means for the US in the long term.
Second, he obviously submitted his 'report' after the deadline for the EPA's annual report, so when they dismissed it (as they should have anyway) he could claim they 'suppressed' evidence and make a big deal out of it.

Looking at the example we have in Europe & the study funded by the govt. in the U.K. it has accomplised next to nothing in reducing emissions while driving energy costs sky high. Actually the satellite data shows that there is no global warming, in fact it shows a cooling in the past few years. The IPEE reports accord a number to CO2 levels that is a product of 4 factors. they have each been on average DOUBLED from actual data! This artificially multiplies CO2 estimates by a factor of 16!!! Sea level rises have been vastly exaggerated, and current climate trends have been steady for over 300 years, we were not producing significant CO2 then!!!!

I've done my research: Carlin worked for NCEE/OPEI as an economist. He's not a environmental physisist/atmospheric scientist/meteorologist/ polar scientist/chemist/biologist, who does research on climate change - he's not even a natural scientist. NCEE means "National Center for Environmental ECONOMICS" and OPEI means "Office of POLICY, ECONOMICS, and Innovation". Carlin's lack of expertise is evident!

More and more people are actually starting to listen to the FACTS and deciding that it makes no sense whatsoever. They are starting to question it. Well, they can't have THAT. Why? Because they can't win an intelligent fact and science based argument.
They can not win because there is NO real Science in it. There are no PROVABLE facts to back up what they say.

Nothing makes me angerier than hearing conservatives say "only 3% of the CO2 is from humans." As if 3% is a small number. When it comes to the environment a 3% difference make a big change in the climate. If one raised the earths temperature by 3% that would make a HUGE impact. Just because 3% is small when in other cases doesn't make it mall in all cases. The environment is one of them where it makes a big difference.

A lot of things are necessary for all life but are bad in large doses. Sunlight is nessary for all life but too much Sun is bad for most living things, it drys them out leaving them dehydrated and die. Too much of anything is bad for you, even if it is necessary. Water is another good example. Everything needs water, but guess what happens when most land organism get too much water? We die, even humans can die from an overdose of water, like plants. 3% of co2 is a BIG difference.

He is a senior research analyst and has been for the last 40 years. Do you know what a research analyst does? They analyze research conducted by scientists. When the UN predicts that temperature will warm and the actual temperature shows that it has cooled, how can you argue with that? You don't need to be a scientist to understand the chart of predicted temperatures vs. ACTUAL temperatures. You may be anti-Republican, but I hope you aren't anti-freedom, which is what this is all about.

A vast array of reports were in existence prior to 1998 accurately predicting a rise in temperatures until 1998 followed by 57 years of cooling. This is not new. Only thing new is that now we have groups with a self-interest in promulgating bad science. This is precisely why they ignored this report, many others, and all the data since 1998. Do you think that the 1998 data can't be compiled by now?

It has been known since ancient Egypt and 2nd Century Chinese scholars that the Earth undergoes a non-aligned harmonic warming and cooling cycle with a 114 year period. Galileo discovered that this was linked to sun cycles. Well documented.
This is why in 41-42 when Nazi's invaded Russia they suffered the worst winter in 100 years.

57 years later in 1998 we reached the other extreme of the harmonic cycle. In 1993 we were looking at these cycles and made preparations for the expected increased activity over the next 5 years. After that it was known that solar activity would begin to wane and cooling would occur. The predictions were right on target and high latitude countries did indeed have grids knocked out during this phase extreme. Since 1998 just as predicted the climate has begun to cool.

No doubt if this legislation is passed they will suddenly discover the falling temperatures and proclaim a monumental success due to their great contributions to science & credit themselves with saving the world.
