They did keep it. Valhalla resembles blood gulch in a lot of ways. Big, spacy, and the only addition is water and snow. And the bases are different.

Yeah it did look similar the first time I saw it, but the main difference is that instead of a box canyon surounding the entire map, the canyon opens up at one base and there is water behind that base.
