  • Theoretically, could you put this accross your ceiling too?

  • I was skeptical but it does work. I have a window facing north and one facing west. My ceiling in the living/dining room is 14 feet high. I need to keep my heat set at 70 so this area stays at leat 66. After installing this product I can set my heat to 68 and stay comfrtable especially on a cold windy day.Definitely worth the time and money!

  • I am in a 700 sq foot apartment with 4 windows. I believe I feel a draft. How much will I save? I live near San Francisco, so it can get cold. My heating bill is $50

  • cant i just use clingfilm ?

  • @prickelyheat Cling-on film is for different purpose. The cling-on film acts as the same as solar control film which is to reject heat to the outside and the cling-on film is to be applied to the window glass itself. The winter insulation film is to be applied to the window frames to create a dead air space between the window glass and film to stop the winter draft (cold air) leaking in from the tiny gaps between the frames. Hope this explains.

  • So tis doesnt stick to the window? it just tapes up and then when wointer is over you untape it?

  • @fuckyoda Yes, this is a film to prevent the winter draft. You have to tape it around the window frame to create a still air space so the cold winter draft doesn't leak into your house from the tiny gaps between the window and the window frame. This film is different from the solar control film which adhere to the window glass to reject the heat to the outside of the house in summer or retain the heat to the inside of the house in winter. Hope this explains.

  • How on earth do you pull the backing off the 2 sided tape. I am having the most horrible peeling the backing........

  • @bb102757 This is the window insulation film to be taped on the frame/wall around the window and there is NO backing/liner. This film is to prevent the winter draft leaking into the house from the gaps in between window frames. This insulation film is different from the solar control window film which has a liner to be peeled off and the adhesive on the film to be adhered to the window glass.

    Hope this explains.

  • I am putting this type of plastic up now. Very good directions ont the box. My windows are 6 feet tall and 3 feet wide. No problem And I coul already tell the difference. We live in a building over renovated 100 year old building with the original huge windows. It is money well spent.

  • who is this beautiful lady

  • She is purdy <3

  • she is hot though

  • I agree with musicaveritas, the only thing good about this product is that I could return the 4 boxes I didnt use. Waste of time & money.

  • @p0rt2121

not true ... this works ... mot of my old windows have those ... (I am thinking of replacing windows in a year or two - don't have the money now)

It makes humongous difference in utilities bill

Best way to see the effect is on windy cold day ... you will see the plastic literately bulge inward ... stopping all cold air .

and unless you expect this to be put in 3 seconds and if that does not happen you think the product is crap, the installation of it is not that difficult. My videos

  • Nonsense. The plastic doesn't adhere at all. Don't waste your money on these kits.

  • @musicaveritas

adhere and big time! You have to push your finger and be gentle with it. But once it sticks and it does stick, it is fine!

See "My videos" under my name - in real time there a video about it.

  • Thanks for posting...I just bought a kit for my house and I wanted to make sure I understood the directions clearly.
