it looks cool and having drum pads with a controler will be awsome, but it could be a little more compact and i would like it more if the jog weels weren't moderized.
Kontrol S4 will remain king based on it being produced by NI for NI. Whereas pioneer numark are simply taking some design elements from the S4 whilst making a few (albeit unnecessary) changes of their own. Spinning platter light is a Pioneer thing, so its hardly anything new and 'great'
make it a midi controller that can handle traktor, serato, ableton, whatever for mapping, u can use the samplers to trigger effects like a midi fighter or mpc style with samples, something very flexible
I would VERY much be interested in an NS6 (or maybe even 4track) styled MPCDJ. The bulkiness of the current design is just not doin' it for me right now.
AKAI: I would lower the height of the jog wheels so the are low profile , like really low with a gentler angles rim on the wheel. I would then ditch the vinyl cover and coat the wheels in the same coloured rubber as the mpc pads and a glow when you touch either all or have a indication ligt on the rim. it would be sleeker to fit in bags and fit in to bags better and look pure digital and futuristic. message me if you want me to work for you, got loads of ideas.
I don't like the design. it doesn't seem function. For what an "MPC - DJ" could be, this doesn't seem to thought out. I do like their innovative idea to combine an MPC with a DJ controller, but it needs to be tinkered with a lot more.
Also on the actual control pads, make them more responsive than like the MPD32, maybe consider sitting down with the company that makes the Vmeters? Some truly innovative midi devices in my opinion. Also on the fx bar it should have the option to press hold on/release off instead of toggle on and off. And maybe grid adjust buttons on the device? They would probably have to be on the front panel though to avoid accidentally messing up your grid. Contact me if you have any questions.
On the MPCDJ, had that been out when I went to buy my NS7FX i would have gotten that more than likely, my only worry is that the MPC seems to be in an odd places seeing as I personally use my mixer controls pretty heavily and I like them closer to my body. Also, in personal preference, stick with the sleek black design of the NS7s, that brushed aluminum in silver is kinda trashy and looks like any scratches will be painfully obvious.
Food for thought on future products: bigger platters.
I really like the idea.. but there is a lot of work that needs to be done to make it complete. That looks like they just threw it together a week before the show to simply draw a crowd... However, again I really like the idea and I hope they expand on it and complete it!
Hey guys, im a 16 year dj trying to get some more fans. Sorry for spamming but this just might help! So if you can listen to my latest mix, im determined youll like it! So please just take a couple of minutes to listen to it!
@DjCrve good thanks.. i dont ask others to view my channel and admit to spamming just because your looking to catch a break... how about you promote your tracks on your channel and forums instead of random vids.... this isnt spam- just feed back... dont say sorry for doing something people dont like... just dont do it.
I wouldn't worry about the size of it cause this would be the ultimate flagship dj controller that would be put in a case or Dj booth. Besides Numark already have several small controllers. If they could make it work with Virtual DJ 8, Serato itch Video and Ableton Live that would be awesome. Oh one more thing! Add 2 Usb ports similar to the RANE mixers for multiple laptops. Just my 2 cents. I wouldn't mind paying $1500 for this it would be worth it.
I first bought the ns6 because numark said it will be releasing the bride for serato itch, one year later still waiting, i downloaded the map for traktor pro for the ns6, needless to say it was disappointing, I wish i would have known they where making one that was made for traktor with the platter of the ns6 and the akai one looks pretty good too but from numark and seratos empty promises im looking to switch over to something else so fuck you numark and serato
I think its looks really nice. Numark should release this soon. I would add a video output with thunderbolt connection. Just think it would be the first dj midi controller that would have the fastest data transfer rates with the thunderbolt connection. Apple has already added it to all the there computers and I hear that windows PC's are about to do the same thing. Also you could market it to clubs and mobile dj's since video mixing is becoming the next level of the dj world (IMHO).
MPCDJ. i owned the NS7, i loved it. i had no problem, i actually miss it. but i did out grow it. but not everyone is a DJ that mixes. i love making original music and love preforming live without prerecorded sets. NS7 platters were just too small for me. i looked weird scratching behind it. t-rex almost looking. i would love to scratch and preform beats live. i would like the platters be at least 10''and MPC/mixer only with one table. for once focus on the scratcher/mpc producer! keep the pads!
Please let the software be a fusion of serato and the new MPC ren. I would love to be able to sample, chop, sequence, scratch over, and remix my tracks in real-time.
I think the Numark Mpc should have a USB port for Thumb Drivers CD Players on each deck and a Screen on each side of the deck just in case your laptop goes out
It will be cool if the Numark MPCDJ will use the center grids for launching clips like samples for Traktor since the future of Traktor is going to have the X2 to run clips just like the APC40 in Ableton wouldn't that be awsome? Play live and Dj at the same time!!
thanks for the coverage and honest comments. man those things look bulky !!! every unit must shit with a double wall potato sack for transporting to and from gigs haha. <3 dj tech tools :D

Make the MPC section apart so that we can use 2 x V7.thats a good alternative for the numark X7.
Numark promise us the X7 now they can make everything oke with a mpc part standalone mixer
