WOOO i got a drift package, theyre so sick for drifting, got mine from ebay, just search yokomo d1 and its the car with the BMW shell that says 'fits d1' its just a cheaply assembled version of this, great car ill be uploading vids soon!
I bought a Kyosho EP Fazer Subaru Impreza STI. The chassis is good for drift too? The car is equipped with off road tires but now i change them with drift tires.
verkaufe die yokomo HKS Karosse, wie im Video, von yokomo fertig lackiert und beklebt NEU für gerade mal 65 € falls jemand Interesse hat, kann er sich bei mir melden ;D

@dedog56 i run a 7.4v 8000mah lipo but its only a 20c. my car has a 9t motor so i dont need the higher rated batteries but i get over an hour runtime outta my e10 which i know is not an efficient car
i think any brushless motor would work, but the thing is, how much do you want to spend? just google "RC brushless car motors" and there you go my friend.
A drive belt can last for ages drifting, a year probably, even with constant use. Shaft drive car is a little bit cheaper to make, having less components than a belt drive. Make you own drift tires if you want to. Use the down pipe from shed guttering. Don't go drifting where there's a slope, it's way more difficult!
well, i think it's just the name, i'm sure they arent the best one, but certainly one of the most expensive. it's sort of like...Porshe. anything they stick a porshe badge to, is automatically "amazing" but sometimes that's not the case. same thing here.
HPI Sprint 2 Drift. I Have one, it's very smooth and belt driven, and well balanced, check it out on the HPI Racing site, it's Ready To Run and the only thing YOU need to do or buy is the paint, and the batteries and charger, everything else is included. i would also recommend new wheels so you can put ABS Piping on them. PM me if you need any more help!
Uhm, a drift package is around 200bucks USD. But Lot's of people have it, and nothing wrong with it so far. But you can get some chassis just as good for around 150.
i have a hpi drift car we bought a better engine for it and orded a fan for it man its fn fast me anng it and me my friend were driving it and it fel in the guter and could not get it

any tamiya except tt01. serpent and team associated are good. i think hpi makes a full 1:10th scale drift car that is very affordable. not over priced yokomos
in the RC world, customization is the key. Factory kits provides a foundation for third party manufacturer, although, they often makes premium parts and such for their own models.
yokomo was the top company for a drifting for a reason idiot. Link me 1 package that is perfect out of the box, the one that couldn't do any uphrade, fucking moron, get a clue
yeah... yokomo are the best in rc drifting world... rcpro17 should check out ARAI YOKOMO TEAM or RC DRIFT ITALIA... before saying there are no yokomo's top drifters...
BTW... 300 only for chassis and radio eletronics... with no wheels and body... and he claim himself rcpro lol......

That's because they're DRIFTING cars, not grip, not rock crawlers, DRIFTING. No shit they won't keep up, because they're supposed to be drifting. It's like saying a motorcycle will never beat an Indy car around Indianapolis speedway. No shit, they're totally different machines doing different things.
are real factory cars meant for drift or grip or drag? not really. so people adapt them by modifying them and making them "better" to your standards so they can do what you want them to do, same thing here, since they cant get enough power to break traction on rubber tires like gas ones do, they change the tires, same as increasing tire pressure on low-power cars like a stock AE86 so it can drift...
real factory cars meant for grip then factory threw in hard tired and stupid "d-boxes" then made more money on the drift car. more power to them. but drifting gets boring.

whats so good about yokomo drift chassis. is there like a secret on how they drift so good.
HPIxDrift 2 years ago
Well, Yokomo is the company that started the RC drift scene. So they have the best experience. Also their chassis aren't so tub looking stock.
GrateGenin 2 years ago
Thanks for the info, but I really wanted to know why yokomo is so good at drifting. just expensive drive-shaft rc car???

If you have a belt driven car,how often would you change the belts. or does the belt last for ever, as long as theres no rocks going in.

I have no idea actually. I just know they don't wear out like every month.
I've never owned a belt drive car, but they're a little quitter, and they run smoother.
