  • I do the SAME EXACT THING with my nails!

  • i bite my lip like a mother f*cker!!! more like chew. my stress reaction, and i got a stressful ass job. oh wells.

  • Okay, well Trichotillomania is a COMPULSIVE DISORDER. Is it nothing to be giggling about. It also isn't something you do sometimes. Talk to someone with bald eyelids or bald patches on their scalp. They have this horrible addiction. You, my dear, have a playful habit.

  • @rachel869 You can't take it so seriously...it'll only bring you down. This video was made several years after I "recovered" from Trich. I've been through the painful addiction, the being bald, the endless therapy sessions. Please don't judge people, especially people you don't know.

  • @friedamour I completely agree. I was wondering why today that ive been pulling my hair out for a lonnnnnnnng long time! now I know and thanks to your video I know a bit more.

  • Why are you so happy talking about this? It's like a huge deal to people. Your in this video smiling the whole entire time. :/

I'm not happy about my pulling my hair out at all..

  • get a job ! it will get your mind of puling hair !

  • Your hair is so pretty, honestly, i hope i can get there one day. [=

  • thanks for posting videos..they make me feel better.

  • You are so pretty. I'm glad you beat this for the most part. Please don't start again. Gosh, just a few minutes of this does so much damage. Too bad hair doesn't grow faster. Your hair is just beautiful--so shiny and thick. I'm happy for you. I have OCD as well, but not trich.

  • well,i'll start pulling if you don't stop cause you're so beautiful

  • She's so inspiring

    THank you :)

  • You have a wonderful attitude. And, great friends. You're very lucky. I'm 44 and had trich for years. No You Tube and brave souls like your self when I was a teen. It's awesome what you/everyone else has done here on You Tube to try to educate people about this disorder. Aside, from the deep sense of being a freak. I was lucky . I didn't have a severe case of trich. But, that may have been because I was or wanted to be on the move or doing something all the time, then I wouldn't pull.

  • I hope you don't get like me,you're so cute and beautiful...seeing others with no hair is a good way to deal with,I had to learn it the hard way.Good luck and please stop!PLEASE.

  • like christine70360 said, im to embarred to tell my friends. only one friend i know has found out about me pulling my hair. acutally right now im wearing a hat. but sadly i cant wear one in school, and thats one of times i pull my hair out the most.

  • im glad your friends help you. im to embarrassed to tell them about it.

  • I was really interested in all these videos I found on youtube about trichotillomania. I think they are going to be a support in my healing process. I have pulled now for 18 years.... Thanks for you bravery and honesty in sharing with us.

  • ho, god, u r so cute, please don´t do this, i know what you feel, i have the same problem too, i know a treatment single but efective, if you want shape experiences with me contact with me

  • You are absoloutly gorgeous!

I know where your coming from, Its very hard to stop.

I hope you manage to cope!

Greatest smile ever and you also have lovely hair!

  • you have very beautiful hair!! please think of others that don't have any left before you pull those beautiful strands!!! stay strong!

  • my hand: up up up, plucks it out and eats it

i want to stop before im bald but i just cant!!!! :(

  • EATS IT!?!?? u know there was a girl who used to eat her hair and then one day she got really really sick, and she was admitted to hospital, and they X-rayed her and there was fuzzy shit in the X-ray and then she ended up having surgery and they balled out a GIANT HAIRBALL that was clogging her intestines and stomache!!! it was in the book of world records i think. Google it!!!!

  • Hey i know how your feeling!

Im stopping at the moment too, blue tack really helps to fiddle with!

  • hiya i am from the uk and i think i have trich i have been pulling my hair out for about 10 years now and i stoped after about 2 years as i had a bould patch but in the last 4/5 years it has come back!i pick my hair out (trying to get the thick ones_ tryin to get a root out as well then put it in my mouth and start to nibble the hair untill it is in a nice even clump and then put it on my hand to dry then put it back in my mouth! dose any one else do this? help!!

  • Yes, basically I do that.

    But I'm trying to stop.

  • yes i am trying to but its so hard i was guna go to the docters have been ??

  • i pull my hair, bite it, and play with it in my hands. I do pretty much the same thing your describing. I do understand trust me! I have had peroids of my life where i would stop and start back. It was really based on how much stress i was going through, and how much TV i watched cause it is worse when i concentrate on anything.

  • yea man , contact with me , if you want, and maybe we can stop this problem forever

i have almost 2 years with no pulling my hair i hope keep this problem off

  • my god ,you cant believe a girl so cute has trich,it has nothing to do with looks!!!!!!!!!

  • damn straight

  • @lynnej1970

I have watched a lot of these videos and they have all been girls and very attractive too.

  • I can't believe that such a cute girl like you has Trich..there is nothing much we can do except for having a strong will power..recent research suggests that the causes maybe genetic..its just the way our brains are wired

  • put bandaids on your fingers!

    it helps alot!

you cant pull with bandaids on them.

or tape, or the rubber thimbles.

  • HOW DID YOU STOP? did you outline a plan?

I Live with a lot of anxiety. I've tried meds--NO help. I also live with chronic pain so mybe trich eases my stress?

    THANK U!

    jst me, lil me

  • ANYONE have a way in which they were able to stop? I've researchd online and all I read is: Cognitive therapy?

It's so hard to NOT want to pull

  • Hi you are so pretty. yes way to go. I know it's hard. I have it on m eye lashes. It was so bad that one time i pulled out all of my top eye lashes and I looked sick. They are back no. Snce they have been back now I have little spots of missing eye lashes. Oh when will it end? 5/5

  • But before you can start directing that precious extra energy in the right directions. You will need to break out of the hairpulling habit.

I can help with that too.

  • I really do feel for you.

But the problem is you shouldn't be watching T.V. You are very special and talented and you have all this extra energy that you should be using to be VERY VERY productive.

If you were exercising, for instance, you'd be releasing that energy and you would be pulling.

  • u are my new idol and seriously hot beautiful hair love you so much xxxxx ur awsome

  • I have suffered from Trich for 8 years now. I started when I was 12 and now I am 21. It has devastated me and affected my social life like you don't even know! I completely understand anyone who pulls their hair from their scalp. IT IS SUCH A WEIRD DISEASE.

  • 1. You need to break out of the habit

    2. You need to learn how direct that extra energy in positive directions.

I got out of this and so can you. There are some tricks you can learn to break out of it.

  • Let me know if you got my msg...thanks

  • Nope. I did not get any message from you.

    Maybe try again.

  • Good. I am so proud of you. For bringing like.. a third of your hat collection. Lets talk about all those hats in your room at home.. lol. I wish I could be there to slap your hand away! <333

  • whenever you fell like pulling, smoke a joint haha, that'll help

  • I am so proud of your accomplishments! You are such a sweet girl..Good Luck!

  • It seems like if it's not one thing it's another. I started pulling when I stopped sucking my thumb, and when I'm not pulling, I always find some other habit like you talked about (biting my lip, playing with my hands etc). I don't know if there's any way to stop from doing SOMETHING...

  • Try knitting.

Get one of those knifty knitters if you don't want to learn how to knit.

I did that for a long time.

But i have the same thing. Anytime my hands are idle i pull.

  • ur rlly pretty
