@ozzycriss If you really thought hard then if you and your country went to renewable energy and a sustainable economy you would have far greater freedom. As renewables allow you to decentralise power this independence means you don't have to accept centralised price fixing/more competition/and no need to kill people in the middle east for oil. It appears only your grandchildren will have to face the facts of your legacy,wars over diminishing resources,pollution of everything and climate change
if only thats what the western world would do, but the governments have made such a commitment to fossil fuels they don't want to come down from there comfortable environments and face the music, it will be challenging and costly to switch to renewable power, it will change the way we western world lives and behaves, but in the end its worth it... And its costing more money to just be in the middle east then and benefits they get from it. Better get it over and done with i say, set an example...
