They played it really safe with Guilty Crown, so the story, mecha, character designs, girl+boy connection - all seem like revised versions of other animes from not so distant past. HQ animation and some really nice music is what saves it from being totally generic.

I am very sceptical towards this anime, as it seems too cliche.. but im seein good comments about it soooo is it worth watchin? i guess just 2 eps is still too early to tell for sure though

@oneLoneLyGirL I'd at least give it a try. I do agree that it's cliche and I think most of that is due in part by the fact that it doesn't really seem to know where it wants to go as a series yet, so it sorta just falls back on some common tropes of the sci-fi genre to try and grab audience interest. That being said though, the art and music is friggin beautiful and the story does show promise. I just don't exactly know what that promise is...
