  • The Clash invade Japan!

  • U N I T Y

  • I worked for the Clash...man it was great times...but you had to appreciate the context..the class divide in the UK was really evident..poverty was increasing...this was 1977...umm or 2011

  • just brilliant..

  • daaamn look at joes nostrils lol

  • funny, grew up on the clash, but never saw them live. but I remember very vividly sitting in my friend's basement listening to 'safe' when I was about 15-16 and I was totally blown away. Kind of different from other stuff at that time in North America. I was hooked, and now I play 'rudie can't fail' and 'london's burning' to my 10 year old kids to get them away from Lady Gaga

  • 団結

  • " rudy come, from Jamaica , he just cant afford to fail!!""

  • so were did they go?!?!?!!?!?!?

  • i saw the clash at a little sweaty club in liverpool called erics. it was early 1979 the last tour they would play small clubs. i was 16. best gig ever. it was like a sauna the amount of people that squeezed in. me and my mates stood on upturned plasic pint glasses so we could see. i was about 10 feet away from them . just superb

  • 8 years already ... :(

  • Saw them only once (on the Sandanista tour). The whole place was literally shaking. Definitely one of the best live bands ever

  • how much were they cool?!?!

  • I absolutely love this song.

    What a lucky audience.

  • Their best song apart from Train In Vain

  • pure and simple best band ever seen the clash three times joe five times also with the pouges legend never forget RIP joe

  • 'Rope saved my life in 1983 when I first heard it.

How could I be distraught with music like this. The music then was crap and a good friend said "johnny, listen up". 'Julie' rocks.

  • is this the gig where ball famously smashed his bass and was used for London Calling?

his bass sounds fucked thats why im curious.... pmsl

    Legends!!!!!!!

  • @mrbassman25 Ball? 'PAUL' lol

  • @mrbassman25

No, that was in the US somewhere

  • Gotta shout out a BIG HELLO to all Clash Fans in Japan! And AROUND THE WORLD! ! !

  • This video makes me want some bright orange pants

  • @inflames2121 those are red pants to match the red sandinista scarf. Marxism represent! Still keen?

  • @kafkasdog LOl, no problem. : )

  • @kafkasdog

Underrated by those who do not list this as one of the band's better songs.

Sorry I dont have names to give you.

  • The real Punk Rockers

  • Def one of my fav Clash songs, very underrated

  • couldn't agree more mate!

  • Clash Banzai!!!!

  • Turn the guitars up!

  • wheredja go, Joe? :(

  • 團結

  • such and under-rated album ...remember so well seeing then at the music machine in camden just after it came out - always Joe

  • i did see them live..with the who in 1982 in seattle...they were awesome

  • id sell my grandmother to have seen them live

  • i'd also sell Your grandmother to have seen them live!

  • Me too!!!

  • in the words of ron burgundy " if you dont think this is the greatest song ever written then i will fight you and that is no lie " (or something like that)

  • clash rule!!

  • awesome

  • punk rock.

    check the burpin bass.

  • Ain't quite as safe as it used to be.

  • well, duh, the non-Europeans got in. ;P

  • The beginning of the end. From late January 1982. You can see Topper has scored some quality SEA powder and is out of it. His drumming sounds like wet socks hitting cement.

In 4 weeks he would be sacked.

  • In 3 months he would be sacked

  • Dude, that is funny, not to mention very interesting. Thanks for the info. Oh, what is SEA powder? Some kind of skag, I imagine?

  • The best band in the world ever!

The only band that matters! Ok, Iggy and the MC5 change music hitory, but the Clash changed my life!

  • The greatest Punk band that ever graced a stage...

  • I looked at Your Youtubesite, and it it was kind of great! You really love the same kind of music as I do! How is the musicscene in Canada now? In Sweden it´s so-so, some interesting bands show up, but the main crowd is like dead, nobody is dancing. But, take care anyway, hope You will be good in the future.

  • Thanks :) Yeah, well I've been at it for a long, long time. From the early Stooges/Ramones period till today. I guess it's just in my blood. Take care!

  • Hi there! A lot of good bands are coming over to Stockholm, King Creosote is coming in the beginning of March, I´m really looking forward to that. How old are You anyway? I am 45! Old fuckin´fart! But still Bizarre and Rockin`! Take care, Pelle.

  • thank you clash pure energy zepplin snore fest and idc how the drummer of zepplin plays zep songs are way to long boring clash right to the point

  • @pelle3948 pretty sure the clash changed history more than Iggy and the MC5: they were one of the really influential bands of punk

  • @pelle3948 the clash changed music too, we would be without music without them

  • @pelle3948 here here bro!!

  • @pelle3948 well said man we have a lot in common. though don't forget the new york dolls, without them the NYC punk scene that eventually spread to england never would have happened

  • Best band ever..We miss you!

  • The Best Band of The World......The Clash Forever!

  • I will never not love The Clash. They're simply the best.

  • one of my fave songs by them :)

  • Too bad The Clash couldn't keep it together. Should have put Topper in rehab while Joe and Mick cooled their heads. The void left by them allowed U2 to step in. Now we're stuck with Bono.

  • Damn right !

All that asskissing he did with Ratzinger got him nowhere. Except kissing the ass of a guy (gay) who was in the hitlerjugend at one time.

  • yeah! fuck bono!

  • They did get Topper to rehab in one point, but Topper's bird kept supplying him with junk, so that attempt to save the band went down the drain. Fucking heroin and cocaine... So many great artists and bands have been destroyed by them!

  • well said.

  • Go Topper! Love the drums on this song!

  • More bands these days should listen to stuff like this. Then mabe some bands would have some ok music and worry about their fans more then their pockets.

  • I couldn't agree more!

  • true

  • Well said!

  • this is rock ´n roll

  • So cool. Great Song

  • I like there head bands
