There needs to be a new tutorial, he hasnt updated his page over two years and he hasnt been online for 1 year. I really want to find out the little tricks and how to join a corporation or alliance but nowhere online i can find a guide that explains the details. Anyone know of a channel or site that does that?

I play eve. i was running a mission and all of a suddena bright light appaered were my ship was, once it had gone i was in an egg shaped ship .. . does that mean i have leveled up ?

I've always strongly suggested that new players avoid using the remap altogether until they have a month or two's experience. I've suggested the learning skills and implants to everyone right away, but the great thing about being new is that everything trains quickly. You can experiment with any career, racial ship, and role right away, try as many as you like, and the time you waist is negligible compared to if you make a decision you're not satisfied with.

I learn all my learning skills, then trained for an assault ship. Then I remapped to pure Memory and Intel, and now I learn Electronics, Engineering, Mechanic extra fast! The problem is, I have to wait a full year to advance to bigger ships but I don't mind much, as long as I'm quicker!

@CT2507 am not on a trial account anylonger. just upgraded and u still cant select "learning". must be changes that have been made to the newer patches of the game. i guess "learning" is automatic now.

Playing through the trial now, and ISK accumulation is the hardest part of EvE in my opinion. Interfacing with the menus, flying your ship, exploring the game world, outfitting your ship all comes relatively simply.

Now being particularly good at any of those three takes time, but a rudimentary understanding is easy to pickup.

If it isn't, well... you're not all that sharp, are you?

noooo,.. don't remap right away... wait until you learn your initial "learning skills" THEN remap. you only get another remap every 12 months, so you need to be careful how many you use. The learning skills you train can be remapped along with the initial attributes you have.

ALSO, the way you remap is dependent on what skills you plan on training. Which is slightly racial dependent.

I object to this, I would say for the best results start traing your learning skills first, and since you can't remap your attributes as often as we would like, it would be best to do that after you've reached level 4 or 5 in your learning skills.

@ Pyro point at click. You double click where you want to go, and like Liam said "managed auto pilot" Meaning the ship goes to that point. You can change the speed and so forth.

If you are gonna be into fighting, id suggest putting one in willpower instead of memory, because spaceship command, gunnery and missiles use willpower and perception!

All the ship and most of the module support skills all require Int/Mem , your nagivation skills ( core to a pvp pilot ), ALL your tank.. int, mem, all your cap skills... INT MEM.

A pvp pilot is not just god in ships gunnery and missiles.

You need a well rounded character with good support in any role you play..

HENCE you balance the skills equally, which will not put players of training a balanced character as any skill is trained at the same speed
