  • my mother and i now finally know how to set one up... thanks so much =]

  • Thank you so much now I can finally set them

  • It's true they do love chocolate!!!!

  • thanks for this vid helped me to set my traps

  • i have the snapy works like a charm!

  • I need urgent help someone please message me.

  • I have used chocolate chips for bait! It works VERY well!

  • @stevenscottoddballz for mice?

  • @godofwar6000

    Yes. They LOVE chocolate!

  • @stevenscottoddballz RELYY? i didnt try it yet everytime we put cheese on like 5 traps an 1 hour to a day later on every trap the cheese is gone so we tied the chees to it and the cheese is still gone everyday! they are so smart i need help we cant get rid of them

  • @godofwar6000

I have NEVER had a mouse steal the chocolate chips. In fact, I have used chips for 2 or 3 times (The mouse would start to eat the chip, but the trap would snap before he could get more.) . I would empty the trap, set it, & put it back with the SAME chip there!

  • Thanks been trying to set that victor professional trap for an hour!

  • i also like the snap e i like how does it works

  • cool

  • hey i got bit several times by a rat bastard just now...doesnt really hurt but the wound doesnt look good...i disinfected it of course but...should i go see a doc or just let it be?any suggestions?

  • 1:37 Thats What She Said

  • thanks

  • Still having trouble seeing exactly how the bar is set on 1st trap. Could have used a close up.

  • Yeah, the groove is hard to feel and is veeeery sensible. You have the pedal, then this vertical standing V shaped piece of metal whose "pointy end" is pointing to the right. The bar goes under it.

  • Thank you much! Got it now.

  • @johncfl

the glue traps are the best

  • Not really, pesky ones I had lately just put their paws on it, grab the cheese, and shake it off. Works from smaller rats though.

  • @StrafingMoose

how big are rats usually anyway including the tail

  • Last one the body was as long as the rat trap plus the tail which is about a bit longer than the body itself I think ?

  • @StrafingMoose

on google images, search giant rats

  • The imitation brand is not even half as sensitive and mice will not activate the trap.

  • they deserve it! they shit in my house!!

  • Did they shit on your silverware?

  • yes..i just heard a big rat in my kitchen!! and need to buy a snap trap...i don't care if im killin it cuz they are very disgusting and carry diseases and i don't want to get sick! thanks!

  • yea me 2 fucking rodents

  • what about a lab rat aka white rat

  • actually rats do not carry as much disease as you would think they can carry some like any other strays and stray cart carry twice the amount of diseases as rats do. also rats are extremely clean animals.

  • keyword "as much". and they are strays. what do u think? i raised them here so therefore they don't carry anything! thats crazy. i still don't want them here in my house!

  • i never said that they don't carry anything some do just like any other animal. its just not as many as most people think. i don't have a problem with people not liking them some people just do not like animals. But i do have a problem with people killing them like this! ok i get that people do not want wild rats in their kitchen or some other areas in their house but you do not have to violently kill them! their are a lot of better ways to get rid of them with out harming them at all!

  • Well I have tried the organic way and it didn't work. And I'm not hiring somebody to come to my house to do it either. So I'm gonna do it my way. And I don't need anyone preaching to me to save a damn rat. Thanks!

  • they do sell the catch and release traps at home depot. also rats and roaches don't like the smell of mint or anything in the mint family. also i do know of people who would use take the rats out for free. all i am trying to do is inform people that rats have a bad reputation and are not these gross little monsters people seem to think they are. along with trying to save them from people who just want to kill or hurt them.

  • Thanks for the vid.

I like the snap e or the t rex

    Which is better?

  • People seem to like the T-Rex better but IMHO, the Snap E is just as good. And it cost less too!!

  • @idebeep t rex

  • I love youtube! Thank you for your video, and for saving my fingers today!

  • Thank you for taking the time to provide this instruction. It has saved fingers around the world!!!

  • i think its funny how people bait them things with poisoned food....

  • lol

  • I think greedy people do that. They just got one mouse, but that they don't want the next bastard to get a free meal. You want some free peanut butter, huh? Here, just for you. See you in hell.

  • Thanks for the help!

  • I have a caged humane trap. I used it multiple times. I simply catch the rat and release it outside-no mess, no fuss, no danger and the rats don't come back.

  • nope..they go to someone else's place....

i simply kill them..makes it easier for everyone

and plus rat production is insane!

  • yup one rat has atleast 25,000 ancestors if u kill one its mostly time to come back i would know =/

  • what you mean they dont come back their a rat they be back your proble catching the same 1 over and over

  • Look at the teeth on the T-Rex! That's badass!

  • Thanks so much man, my sister and I for some reason could not work out the mechanics of the most simplest mouse trap (maybe those few glasses of wine didn't help). Googled mouse traps and this came up, sorted us out within seconds!

    Thanks again

  • ware can i buy a t rexs trap i cant fined tham in canada plizz help me

  • thank you =]

  • thanks for showing me how to set a mouse trape dauuuuu

  • Thanks for posting. I tried setting a victor spring trap this way but each time I pulled the spring back, the wooded base just flipped around on my hand. I wonder if it had too much tension?

  • Peanut Butter FTW

  • thanks for teh info but what do u mean by "One thing that is always a good idea is to bait the trap without setting it for a period of time." i think theyve tooken teh bate maybe 5 times already!, i hered peanut butter doesnt come off but i tried it and teh ants ate it... i put cheese they take it, how about if u put it on top of a rock or something so its higher above teh ground so tehy have to climb adn lean on it???

  • If the rats are taking your bait, you may want to attach the bait to the trap. What style trap are you using? Hercules Putty is one option. For some baits, like bird seed, you can even use common elmers type glue. Just don't set it out until it is dry.

The reason they can take the bait without setting off the trap, is the cautious approach they use to remove the bait. If they ran up and grabbed it, they would have set it off. Prebaiting reduces their fear of the new object.

  • i have set a rat trap, but teh rat keeps on eating teh food but the trap doesnt jump!!

    any sugestions=

  • Yes. One thing that is always a good idea is to bait the trap without setting it for a period of time. Also set way more than one trap. Not doing this are the two most common mistakes we see when it comes to trapping rats.

When the rats have cleaned of several traps, several times, set the traps. This will ensure that you not only catch the rats, but catch them all.

One other tip. Rats are neophobic(afraid of new objects) so don't change the location of the traps. Keep things the same.

  • i wanna see the trex in action :]
